The apartment consists of a large room with a double bed, a single bed, a kitchenette and bathroom, plus another room where is staged a small spa with a large Jacuzzi whirlpool tub for two and a comfortable sofa bed, which can be used as a fourth bed.
The house is equipped with all modern comforts: stove with two burners, microwave oven, fridge, washing machine, TV, Wi-Fi, heating, air conditioning, dehumidifier and hair dryer. Also linen, towels, set of dishes and glasses are supplied.
The house is very special, because of its historical heritage; the furnishings and the details are studied to provide a sense of immersion in the Reinassance period.
The master bedroom is very spacious, has two beautiful double glazed windows to ensure peace and tranquility. The floors are original from the eighteenth century, as well as the coffered ceiling in wood with gold ornamentation.
The warm colors of the furniture, gold and purple, the handmade lamps of parchment paper, the the pencil sketches on the walls, gilded mirrors evoke traces of the past of this house, which in the '700 was a small private theater.
During the restoration work, in the outer wall of the room, between the two windows, a small stone fountain of the sixteenth century was found, nowadays perfectly visible. Other stone details have been found and are all visible on the walls. All this helps to create a truly unique charm that anticipates immediately to the newly arrived tourist the atmosphere of a city like Florence.
Down a few steps you will find yourself in what may be the most ancient part of the entire building. Here the floor is original terracotta, the ceiling is vaulted, there are large brick arches and solid columns. All original and restored. The peaceful silence, the twilight lit by a warm light, a hint of the ancient mystery in the air take us back through the centuries: a real plunge into the Renaissance.
Here in this charming atmosphere is staged the small spa with large Iacuzzi whirlpool tub and some gym equipment to keep fit. A touch of sophistication that few houses have. At the end of the day, there's nothing better than a nice and relaxing bath in Bella Wellness!
My name is Maria Pia, I am born in Florence and lived here all my life. I am a passionate lover of this city and its artistic history.
Maria Pia purchased this apartment in 2015
I recently bought this apartment, fascinated by its history and its original details, like the ceiling and the stone fountain. As this house is a living testament of the history of Florence, I decided not to keep it for myself but to lend it to others who are curious and interested in Florence and in its monuments of the Reinassance period.
In Florence it is required to pay the city tax of 2.50 € per person per night, payable in cash on arrival.

The host welcomed us with open arms, and even bought us a bottle of wine. The apartment is in a really great location. It was a really great experience.
The greeting we received upon our arrival was warm and friendly. The location of the apartment is right in the middle of all the city has to offer and was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
To save writing, my wife and I agree with all of the positive comments in the previous reviews. The apartment is lovely and we couldn't have been happier with the location, ambiance, (and the air conditioning, since we there on possibly the hottest week of the year). Salvatore met us promptly and gave us a nice tour of the apartment. We would highly reccomend the apartment.
The suite is quite cute and comfortable. The manager, Salvatore, is wonderful and accommodating. It is also very quiet and conveniently located, near the main church and a lively square with good restaurants. The bed we found to not be terribly comfortable, but that is subjective. Also, a bureau or armoire to store clothes would be a welcome addition. Overall, for the price, a great value.
My husband and I spent 5 days in this beautiful apartment in April. It is truly wonderful. It is in an updated renaissance building done with luxury and style. It has a king size bed, a day bed and 2 pull out couches, one luxurious bathroom and a large living room on the lower level which has a jacuzzi. It was such a gift to soak at night after long days of walking and see the amazing museums and sites of Florence. It is just around the corner from bakeries, cafes, groceries, and restaurants. It is also within a few blocks of the Duomo and Academia and other major sites in Florence. Maria Pia was great to communicate with and Salvatore met us and gave us everything we needed to settle in and find our way around. We couldn't recommend this apartment more highly. Thanks Maria Pia and Salvatore.
The apartment was the perfect home base for our family of 4 during our week-long stay in Florence. We had everything we needed, and felt right at home. The small kitchen worked well for breakfasts and dinner in the apartment. We had access to a terrific grocery store located just a few blocks away, but the Mercato Centrale is close as well. The apartment is on a quiet side street, within easy walking distance of everything. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and registration, check-in and check-out were simple. The customer service provided was excellent. We highly recommend staying at this apartment.
The apartment is strategically placed in the centre of the medieval city of Florence, in a quiet street very close to the most famous monuments and museums. The Galleria dell'Accademia, where Michelangelo's David statue and other masterpieces are conserved, is within 5 minutes on foot. At a similar walking distance you will find Signoria square, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio and the dome, locally called Il Duomo.
