Large, stylish 2 bedroom garden apartment with south facing terrace

Tucked away in a quiet area of the complex yet only 1 minute's walk from the communal swimming pool, this large, airy, 2 bedroom ground floor apartment has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The traditional design means it stays cool inside even when it is at its hottest outside. It has direct access to its own large semi private garden with views towards the sea and is within easy walking distance of two glorious beaches and several bars and restaurants.

Accommodation comprises:

Spacious lounge with seating for 6 comprising of a large sofabed, armchair and banquette; satellite TV with UK channels; DVD; feature fireplace; patio doors out to the south facing terrace

Fully equipped modern kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, cafetiere, toaster, juicer, washing machine, a full range of utensils, pans and crockery and a dining table with seating for 6.

2 large twin bedrooms with fitted wardrobes

Modern bathroom with toilet, sink and walk in rain shower

Large covered south facing terrace with a table, 6 chairs, 2 sunbeds, BBQ and direct access to the garden

Safe, hairdryer, iron, ironing board and clothes airer

Towels & beach towels provided, linen changed weekly for 2 week summer lets.

Wi fi available in the apartment for a small fee payable locally with free wifi at most of the local restaurants.

The owner can recommend a taxi company to guests for airport transfers.

Sao Rafael has wonderful beaches and great restaurants yet it remains untouched by mass tourism.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is beautifully situated in a quiet corner of the complex yet with all the amenities close by. The covered south facing terrace is a real sun trap in the winter months yet offers plenty of shade in the height of summer. The ability to spread out into the garden is a real bonus.

Great apartment in a great location

A lovely modern and airy apartment with all the facilities and equipment for a fantastic holiday. Two beautiful beaches within walking distance, great for snorkeling. We spent the mornings by the beach and the afternoons at the pool, always able to get enough sunbeds. Carlos the doughnut man visits both the beach and the pool, which was great for a snack as the pool snack facilities were not open. We were met by Richard when we got to the apartment who gave us a comprehensive overview of what was where, and he was always on hand if needed - nice friendly guy.

One of our holiday highlights was going parasailing (three of us went up together incl. 10 year old son) - Algar experience go from the marina, would highly recommend. Plenty of restaurants in the area to walk to, or a taxi to the old town was less than 10 euros each way where there are restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.

Unfortunately I was taken ill on our last day, and ended up at the hospital/walk in centre - treatment was great and cost about 20 euros. Care couldn't have been better.

Our week holiday wasn't long enough and we would love to go back again. Highly recommend this apartment.

There are several bars & restaurants within walking distance of the apartment, from local bars and restaurants serving traditional Portuguese food to 5* hotels. There is a small general store a short walk from the apartment which sells fresh bread, milk & newspapers. There are larger supermarkets 5 minutes’ drive away with a taxi rank so car hire is not necessary. For more bars, restaurants and supermarkets Albufeira is a short drive or a lovely walk via the marina.
