Apartment Magnolia (60 sqm) is on the ground floor with access directly from the garden. There is a living room with kitchen fully equipped, double bedded room (extra bed is available), bathroom with shower. The kitchen has an electric oven, but no dishwasher or washing machine; there is a self service laundry near the apartment. Sleeps : 2+1 Parking space is guaranteed and the wi-fi ADSL internet connection is always-on and completely free. Casa Zia Beppina is located in the San Concordio area of Lucca, which has recently become one of the most important areas of the city with the expansion outwards from the walled centre. The San Concordio area is the best place from which to enjoy a stay in Lucca because the walled centre (only 500 metres away) and the train station are both easily accessible by foot or bicycle. There is also a bus stop close by (less than 5 mins) from where you can catch a bus to Florence, Pisa (including the airport) and Viareggio (Versilia beaches). The location is great and very quiet, you are close to the walls, but in a great area with shopping and restaurants. The apartment is located just a couple of minutes walk from an excellent supermarket open till 9 p.m., laundrette and restaurant as well as banks, shops, bars and pizzerias. Lucca is now largely a pedestrianised zone, which makes exploring this lovely old city all the more enjoyable. With your vacation rental just a short walk outside the walls, you’ll never need to use your car to get into town. It is now almost impossible for anyone except residents to drive a car into the city centre, and it is one reason why the San Concordio area has lately become so sought after ... it’s so convenient. The owners, Aldo and Cinzia, speak good English and will be more than happy to help you out with anything that will make your stay in Lucca more enjoyable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location of the apartment is superb, walking distance to the old city of Lucca. Great parking allowing for easy day trips. The train station is in walking distance so perfect for day trips to Florence. Highly recommend!
The apartment was spacious, very clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the quiet location just 10 minutes' walk from the city walls of Lucca. Aldo, the owner, was very friendly, always ready to help but without being, in any way, intrusive. He always waited patiently for us to speak our faltering Italian even though he speaks excellent English himself! We certainly plan to return to Lucca and stay here again. Thank you Aldo! Chris & Philippa
Perfect location.walking distance to town and train. Buses too. Spotless. Large apt with
Full kitchen and bath. Beautiful outdoor space. Owner Aldo is simply the Best!!!!
Apartment was quiet, comfortable, well-equipped and perfectly located, for shopping, walking into the old city and driving out for day trips. Aldo was the perfect host. Good chance we will want to come back to further explore the area, and we will definitely want to stay here again if we do.!
Very comfortable apartment, well equipped. Nice garden to sit in. The use of bicycles was great. Only problem was the noisy gates opening and closing nearby.
The apartment served us well with good cooking facilities, TV with DVD player. The walk is about 15mins away to the city walls with a resturant we recomend 5 min walk away. If we return then we would stay here.
Most of all, this holiday apartment in Lucca give you easy access to one of Tuscany's most charming, historic yet unspoiled cities. Less bustling than Florence or Pisa, Lucca sits snug within its massive medieval walls, the town within a maze of ancient streets, Renaissance churches, grand palazzi, good shops and excellent restaurants. An enjoyable day can be spent waling the 4 km circuit of the walls ... so deep are they that they are topped by parks and gardens, and are very popular with joggers, cyclists and sightseers. And when you descend to the town within, you'll find pedestrians and cyclists again take precedence over the motor car - this is a lovely town to stroll, enjoy and relax. Watching over Lucca from above, from one of the towers, one can enjoy an enchanting panorama over the red roofs, with lots of green and the summits of the Apuan Alps in the background. As Lucca is well connected through the rail network it is possible to visit other Tuscan towns without car. Pisa, Viareggio (and the Versilia coast), Montecatini and Pistoia can be quickly reached. Within approximately 45 minutes it is possible to reach Florence.
