John and Eleanor retired to Perthshire in 2013 We moved from the north east of Scotland to this beautiful area and restored the cottage to be a comfortable relaxing holiday home.
We live near so are at hand to give any assistance.
John and Eleanor Sim purchased this cottage in 2013
It is situated in a lovely part of Scotland with plenty to do and see or just to relax and unwind.
This is a wonderful cottage the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable relaxing stress free holiday. The location is perfect for exploring the Highlands wouldn't hesitate to return here again.
The cottage is very clean and has everything we could wish for. Especially the kitchen is fully equipped, more complete than everything we have experienced so far.
With TV, DVD collection, books, games, brochures for regional attractions and hiking maps there is plenty to do, when having a nice cosy evening at the fireplace.
Eleanor and John are really really kind and provide a homelike stay. This includes a very generous welcome package for breakfast.
Tummel Bridge consists of a handfull of houses including a caravan park with a bistro. It is a good location for day trips, but we would recommend a car.
Very comfortable, clean accommodation, very well equipped everything one would need. Peaceful with lovely views, lots bird life to watch.
Excellent base to explore the surrounding area and enjoy super walking, if you get the summer weather we enjoyed this week it's a bonus
This is probably the best cottage for two that you can find in Scotland.Everything you might want has been thought about and provided .If you SHOULD need anything else, you only have to ask ,the owners live next door and are a very friendly couple.
This is a lovely cottage, very clean and lovely decor. Bedding and towels are very high quality. The owners, Eleanor and John made us very welcome. They live in a house just next door, if any problems. The cottage is very well equipped and sleeps 4, 2 in the bedroom and the sofas in living room coñvert into beds. The bed can be made up as a kibg size or 2 singles. WiFi is available, no charge. A free welcome pack was left for us, bread, milk, biscuits and in the fridge, little mini butters and jams. The cottage is at Tummel Bridge and a great area for watching wildlife or hill walking. The cottage was very cosy and has double glazing, heating and a log burning stove if needed.
Highland Safaris for Quad and Mountain Biking, Deer Park and restaurant. Bungee Jumping and White Water Rafting not far. Boat and cycle hire and cafe at Kenmore. Plenty of Munros including Schielallion are close by for hill walking.
Dewars Distillery and the Smallest distillery at Edradour and the working Brewery at Moulin inn are all worth a visit.
Blair Atholl, Menzies castles and Balhousie Castle home of the Black Watch Museum.
Scone Palace, Queens View, Birnam Woods and the Soldiers leap at Killiecrankie
There are about 20 golf clubs and there is also fishing in the area.
Pitlochry Theatre and the Salmon Ladder are a must there is also a cycle hire and repair shop.
Pitlochry is in the centre of Scotland so it is an ideal centre for exploring Scotland
There is great shopping at House of Braur and finish with a visit to their restaurant .
There is also a Great Restaurant and Cookery School at Thyme at Errichel by Aberfeldy.
The famous Birks of Aberfeldy are worth a look
This is only a small selection of the many things to do in the surrounding areas.
