"From 1 January 2016 the Lisbon authorities implemented a new city tax. This city tax is 1 € per person per night and is not included in the total price of your accommodation. It must be paid upon arrival in cash. This tax is charged to guests aged 13 and older. It is subject to a maximum amount of 7 € per person. "

Apartment completely refurbished, is located on the THIRD FLOOR of a building, without ELEVADOR, in Bairro da Graça, one of the most known and typical neighborhoods of the city of Lisbon.

Enjoy the holiday without forgetting the physical exercise, can know from this apartment, walk some of the most beautiful sights of Lisbon.

Up the street is the Belvedere of Nossa Senhora do Monte, where you will be able to enjoy a more beautiful views of the city and a set of wonderful sun.

Five minutes from home is the Viewpoint of Sofia Melo Breyner / Grace Gazebo as well as the majestic Convent of Our Lady of Grace.

Continuing the tour by Grace can also visit the Church of Saint Vincent and the National Pantheon. Tuesdays and Saturdays you can do some shopping in one of the oldest fairs in the country, Flea Market. Continuing the walk can go down to Alfama and enter one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Lisbon.

After walking through the narrow streets of Alfama climb to the viewpoint of the Portas do Sol, a balcony that all Lisboans liked to have at home.

From here select what you want to see first Mirador de Santa Luzia, São Jorge Castle, St. Anthony's Church, the Cathedral.

To rest the hike at the beginning of the street where it is located this apartment has a tram stop 28 already considered one of the ex libris of Lisbon.

Tram 28 or 'The Amarelinho' as it is also known offers its passengers the opportunity to meet the most beautiful old quarters of the city in the middle of typical Lisbon transportation, making known the medieval Lisbon, with its narrow, winding streets.

From home down the Mouraria, another typical neighborhood of Lisbon, comes to Martim Moniz from here is 1 minute from the Lower City.

At the foot of the house there are several supermarkets, shops, grocery stores, cafes, bars, pharmacies, parks and restaurants where you can enjoy typical Portuguese food.

This apartment is located on the third floor without elevator of a building where the facade is all tile.

The house consists of three bedrooms, one with double bed, one with twin beds and one with a single bed that once opened becomes a double bed with two mattresses side by side. Balcony with panoramic views. Fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine clothes and utensils. A toilet with shower .A living / meal with cable TV and Wi fi.

The apartment has plenty of natural light that provides good energy at home, the sun shines all day, all the windows have a beautiful view.

Important information to get home,

    - TAXI - 10/15 minutes from Lisbon Airport (estimated cost 4people of + -20 / 25 €)

    - METRO - 25 minutes from Lisbon Airport to Santa Apolonia.

take the red line and change to the blue line in St. station Sebastião.

Exit at Santa Apolonia, terminal station.

From here to the apartment is 10 minutes walk or 5 minutes on the bus 734 with stop in the beginning of the street from the house.(Exit at 6ºparagem)

Clean, bright and conveniently located

We (family of 4 with 2 teenagers) enjoyed our stay at this clean and bright apartment. Although it was small, the 3 bedrooms meant that there was enough space for everyone. The apartment is very well located. It is a short walk from the Alfama district, and it is close to public transit as well. There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It was also very quiet at night.

Our hostess Gisela was wonderful. She was very accommodating of our morning arrival on an overseas flight - she let us store our luggage until the apartment was ready. She was always just a text-message away and was very helpful and responsive. We stayed for just over a week, and Gisela changed the sheets and towels mid-way through our stay, which was much appreciated. We also enjoyed the welcome gift of traditional local pastries - they were delicious!

The apartment is on the third floor of a building with no elevator - those with mobility issues should take this into account. But if stairs are not an issue, this is a great place to stay.

Location, Location, Location! Plus a great host and everything needed for a comfortable stay

My wife and I enjoyed this Graca neighborhood, with several restaurants, bakeries, and markets within a few hundred yards. Our favorite bakery Pastelaria Milorde was just around the corner. Restaurants nearby included a local favorite, Penalva da Graca for seafood, and the quaint and new Ti'Ascencao. Estamine was closed the week we visited. Views from the Miradoura, a five minute walk, were the best in Lisboa. And, Alfama was just a 10 minute walk away. Owners Gisela and Rui were fantastic.

Home Away From Home

From our initial contact to our final goodbyes, Gisela and Peter treated us like family. The bottle of wine, the coffee and the Pasteis de nata were much appreciated, unfortunately we got hooked on the tasty pastry. This roomy and well equipped flat is ideally located in a historic section of Lisbon and allows for easy access to many restaurants and markets. It was very clean and had ample space for couples or a family. The neighbourhood is welcoming and has a community feel to it. One of the best views of Lisbon and Sao Jorge castle is a two minute walk from the front door. Parking in Lisbon for a novice can be most challenging, trolleys are much easier and more convienent to use and can ease your sightseeing up and down the numerous hills that are Lisbon. Follow Tripadvisor's suggestions for restaurants, you won't be disappointed.

A magical place

The apartment was spacious, well equipped (loved the coffee machine) and immaculately clean. The location is perfect, Graca is enchanting, quiet at night but a stone's throw on foot from the Alfama. We walked everywhere. A few minutes walk up the road is one of the best viewpoints in Lisbon. Gisela was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble and she made us so welcome. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

The apartment is very nice, clean and very centrally located. With all the comfortable things we need for a very pleasant holiday in lisbon. The owners Gisela and her husband very nice people. Very kind. We enjoyed our stay here and for sure we will come back here.
