Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Maleme - Our old stable transformed

Artemis is a 2 storey house of 70 square meters which was created by the reconstruction of the old stable. The visible stone on the outside walls gives a traditional appearance which matches perfectly the surroundings.

In the basement there are the dining room and the kitchen and apart from the A/C there is also a traditional wood stove for the cold winter nights. You can see the bathroom and the big bedroom with the double bed. A wooden handmade ladder leads the guest to the first floor where the second living room with the sofa bed is. There is also a second bathroom and a 3 bed bedroom. For the accommodation of the guests, there is a second small kitchen with a small refrigerator and the basic equipment.

The veranda of the house is at the second floor and has a dining table for 6 persons.

Artemis can host up to 6 guests. It is equipped with:

I'm 39 years old living in Crete Island. My family and I live and work right near five traditional apartments that we rent out every summer. We take pride in our properties and are responsive to any of our renters needs. Since we are local, we deal with our guests directly – from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between. All of our properties are fully furnished and have all the amenities of home!

Metohi Georgila is really very lovely with a delightfully pleasant ambience. This is amplified by an non intrusive, but considerate and thoughtful and very pleasant hospitality by the owners and family and employees. Our second stay here confirms the ongoing positive experiences we had the first time. We stayed in Titika the first time and Artemis the second, with two different family goups on each time . We thoroughly enjoyed both visits , each for 2 weeks. Lovely touches and surprises of genuine hospitality, we very much appreciated. We were able to combine self catering with eating out, and if we were short of any utensils/ equipment , this was willingly provided by the family . Although we enjoyed one week without a car , having one is probably better. ( one can walk to the beach .. about 20 minutes or go into and back from Chania on the bus easily though). We would return a third time.... Thank you Areti and Harris and parents and Maria.
