Only 3 Km from Amalfi, with extensive panorama of the sea from its terrace, vacation apartment Il Mare is a fascinating one bedroom self catering apartment sleeping comfortably 4 persons.

On a hill in a residential building, Il Mare is set on the first floor looking down to the sea and typical cliffs of the Amalfi coastline.

Outside stone steps (70) lead from road level to the gardens surrounding the building and 20 indoor steps to the first floor of the building, bring us to the modern furnished in typical Mediterranean style apartment.

Entrance into sitting/dining room with convertible divan bed (double), doors open to a terrace. Separate kitchen, well equipped with fridge/freezer, gas cooker with oven. Small corridor to the double bedroom with doors to terrace. Bathroom with shower, WC, etc...

Lovely apartment, fab location, fantastic terrace

We stayed in the apartment for a week in July. At 5 1/2 months pregnant I was a little apprehensive about the steps and general terrain of Amalfi (we booked the flights pre baby!) but access to the apartment wasn't too bad despite the blistering heat. The apartment itself was spotless and very spacious, perfect for the 2 of us and I'm sure still plenty of space for 4 people. The terrace was spectacular, spacious with plenty of welcome shade. For sun-seekers I would say the only drawback was that you don't get any sun after around 3.30pm/4pm but that goes for most of the coast. Location wise it's great, a 45minute stroll into Amalfi Town, or ten minutes on the bus which stops just round the corner from the apartment. We tried all three nearby restaurants and all were good in their own way, although beware of overcharging - which goes for many of the restaurants we visited during our stay! The service we received from the management was second to none, the gentleman who checked us in took a lot of time to give advice on the region, buses, boats and trips, and Laura in the office was always very quick to respond to any issues or queries we had, even on the weekends. I was incredibly impressed with the service and would certainly look to use them again if booking in the region.

Ridiculous Views

Lovely apartment and as with many along the Amalfi Coast it has ridiculous views that captivate you all day long. There is a lot of outdoor space which makes it extra special. Sure, its a walk down to the Amalfi town centre but it helps to work off the food and booze right? And we came to enjoy it. A special memory will be the attentiveness an calmness of our local contact Augusto who met us at the ferry and in all the craziness and hustling to get on a bus Augusto - who had seen the drama played out a million times - calmly guided us to cram on the bus with our luggage and make our way to the stop about 2km up the hill near the accommodation. He then spent a good amount of time working through everything with us to ensure we were all set up for a good visit. Checkout was the same - made sure we were all sorted to move on to the next phase of our holiday and left happy. My third visit to Amalfi and it gets crazier every time. So its nice to stay up at Vettica Amalfi out of some of mayhem and enjoy the views - and the walk.

mooie woning , zeer royaal, alles netjes verzorgd, begeleiding bij aankomst was zeer pretig.

De woning heeft een mooie indeling, je kan ook elk moment op je terras zitten in of uit de zon. Het uitzicht is perfect. Alles binnen loop afstand als je dat wilt, uitgezonderd een supermarkt. Als je eerder weg wil dan 7.00 uur moet je bijbetalen, dat vonden wij jammer.

Great Vacation. Great location!!!

The apartment was very clean. Augusto was very thorough in the explanation of the apartment and it’s surroundings. Location and distance to the plaza as well as going down to the beach is not for the faint of heart . You will walk and you will go down many many steps in order to go to the beach. That is all part of the thrill of being in Amalfi and enjoying to cacophony of sounds buses cars and people 😊 Breathtaking view from our apartment. Kitchen Well stocked with pots and pans and various amenities. However, a microwave and a coffee machine other than a very small percolator would’ve been a nice plus. Overall an amazing unforgettable vacation!

Wonderful Terrace

Clean and modern apartment with a beautiful terrace. Such a bonus to have so much room to enjoy the outdoors. Few issues noted. Noisy both day and night. Air conditioning and heat are extra cost. Bed not comfortable, very hard. We were bitten multiple times by some type of mosquito/no-see-um at the apartment which made for uncomfortable evenings. On the plus side the apartment is spacious and the kitchen functional with a large fridge. Good water pressure and lots of hot water. The washing machine is a plus and drying clothes in the Mediterranean sun a pleasure. We were pleased with our stay and did not want to leave that fantastic terrace!
