About this property

Set on the banks of the river Rance, with panoramic views of the port of Dinan and old bridge. With two walls made entirely of glass, the apartment is flooded with light and offers a wonderful position to enjoy this popular location.
A short walk across the old stone bridge brings you to a traditional Breton bakery as well as number of good riverside restaurants, bistros, cafes.
Forming part of a historic 17th century stone building, the apartment is on the second floor of a historic building , accessed by 2 short flights of stairs.

The apartment has one spacious bedroom with a double bed.
Bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Corner kitchen next to a dining area overlooking the river. Spacious living area with river views. Mezzanine with two single beds – limited height makes this area most suitable for children.
Pull out single bed available if needed.
Free WIFI internet and TV receiving both French and UK channels.
Internal area 45 sq metres (484 sq ft) and classified as one star tourist accommodation in 2021.

Gem of a property, wonderful location

What a great place to stay. Cottage was of a very high standard, everything is provided for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic, looking down onto the river where there’s lots of activity. Ideally situated close to restaurants etc and also the walk up into Dinan old town. Steep cobbled streets but lots of art galleries on the way. Dinan is full of character. Parking also provided by owners at a cost of 20 euros a week, well worth it. We filled our nine days with walking, boating, and travelling around to the many places of interest. Would definitely stay at this property again. One point to note, steep internal stairs up to accommodation.

Enjoyable (hot) stay in Dinan

We had an enjoyable stay at Le Loft in Dinan. Unfortunately it was timed with France’s record heatwave so staying cool posed a bit of an issue with the amount of glass windows! The view over the river is obviously the selling point and did not disappoint. The property had its small rustic charm, and was well equipped (although no microwave). Note there is no proper shower (only handheld over bath). Parking was not an issue, most the time we were able to park right outside - occasionally having to move further along and park under the viaduct. The wifi wasn’t particularly good - not that it matters too much whilst on holiday! Jeremy/Julia were very helpful and attentive when we required. They supplied a cot and high chair for our son. But also provided a fan upon request and made modifications to the lock on the front door immediately after we encountered an issue. The boulangerie across the river was a 1 minute walk away and I highly recommend! Many thanks

Charming apartment, lovely location.

This charmimg apartment is well appointed and in a lovely location on the river below Dinan town, there is a boulangerie and numerous restaurants a stroll across the bridge. The cobbled walk up to the town is steep but has fascinating architecture to allow pauses! Dinan is a delightful small town well served with shops and cafes and rampart walks with great views. There are also lovely walks along the river in Lanvallay. Communication with the hosts was very good and excellent directions given which are a neccesity with a one way system on the port. All in all a great place to stay!

Amazing and enchanted apartment

My husband and I have just returned from the most perfect week staying in this beautiful place. The apartment is truly unique having the charm of the medieval building decorated in a french country theme, but with walls of sliding glass giving a contemporary twist that filled the apartment with air and light. The view was stunning looking over the old bridge and quaint restaurants. I had chosen this area to do some cycling. Jeremy ( the owner) kindly allowed us to store our bikes in a near locked garage. Directly infront of the apartment is the canal path which is part of the V2 and V3 vois verte (green off road walking or cycling routes.) These paths are quiet safe and picturesque. Dinan itself is a magical town with lots to offer. Very steep roads to climb but plenty of eating and drinking stops on offer. The apartment itself is thoroughly clean, cosy and stylish. I would definitely highly recommend this apartment. We took the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo, arriving at 8 in the morning. St Malo is well worth a visit before an easy 15 mile trip to Dinan. Jeremy had given us excellent directions to the apartment and parking is free and straight forward. We returned from Cherbourg to Portsmouth a 3 hour express crossing which was also simple to negotiate. This was a very special holiday and we will certainly be returning soon.
