Double bedroom and bathroom on each floor, own garden terrace, fully equipped

Ideal for two couples, guests have the entire apartment for their own use. Centrally located In a small, quiet development of only 16 in Broadwall behind the Oxo Tower on the South Bank of the River Thames. The entrance to the 4-storey building is on the ground floor and the apartment (70sq.m/754sq.ft) is on the 1st and 2nd floors with all floors accessible by lift/elevator. There is one double bedroom with en suite bathroom on the 1st floor and the other with a separate bathroom on the 2nd floor. Both bedrooms have conventional King-sized beds with sprung mattresses 150cmx200cm (5ft x 6ft 6ins). Both bathrooms have a shower, WC and washbasin. The en suite one also has a bath.

The open-plan kitchen and sitting room opens onto a spacious private garden terrace (16sq.m/172sq.ft), which leads onto a large (250sq.m) decked garden open to other Broadwall residents. The kitchen is fully equipped for those evenings relaxing at home. Oven, 4 place ceramic hob (US - stove top), microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere & filter coffee machine and glasses, crockery and cutlery for 6 people.

Lift/elevator to each floor. Central heating, Washer/dryer, dishwasher,

Fridge/freezer, iron & board.

Free WiFi (up to 19Mbps), Samsung 32" WiFi-connected, SMART HDTV/Radio in sitting room and Samsung 32" TV/Radio in main bedroom. MP3/Ipod sound system in sitting room.

Guests are provided with bath, hand & face towels, bathrobes and slippers.

Full bed linen. Bathrooms have shampoo/conditioner and hand soap dispensers. Softened water.

The Gabriel's Wharf restaurants and shops and the river are 100yds away and the riverside walk takes you to the Royal Festival Hall & Royal National Theatre in one direction and the Tate Modern in the other. Walk across one of the many bridges and you can be in Soho or St Paul's Cathedral in 20 minutes.

Every 10 minutes the RV1 bus, which stops outside the building, can take you to Covent Garden in one direction or Tower Bridge in the other. Waterloo and Southwark tube stations are within 10 minutes walk, as are the famous Old Vic & Young Vic theatres and the shops and restaurants in The Cut (B300 on location map). There is a small convenience store 150yds (200m) away in Coin Street.

NEW July 2016 - WAITROSE, the up-market supermarket chain, opened a convenience store 100yds from Broadwall (corner of Stamford Street and Rennie Street). Open 0700-2200 (0800-2200 Sundays).

Secure garage parking space available for £10/night.

As with most private homes in the UK, it is not air-conditioned, as there are only a few days in some summers when it would be pleasant to have. If you are lucky enough to be in London for those few days then you may wish to use the portable electric fans provided. In the British climate you may find the two resident umbrellas of more practical use.

Please consider our neighbours by not holding noisy parties or playing loud music. Maximum overnight occupancy 4.

Rental includes up to 4hrs cleaning at the end of a stay. Additional cleaning can be arranged for £10/hr minimum 4hrs/day.

Pets are not allowed.

To maintain a welcoming atmosphere for future guests please do not smoke in the apartment.

USUAL CHECK-IN from 3pm and CHECK-OUT before 11am but this may be flexible by prior arrangement (sometimes by use of a coded key safe).

Only made available for short-term rental since summer 2015 after major refurbishment.

Location, Location, Location

The location of the apartment was excellent. We are walkers and did not have to take a taxi, bus or tube ride during our one week visit. Darrall was extremely helpful both before we arrived and helping us get settled in. The apartment is very well appointed with lots more elbow room than a hotel would offer. The garden is delightful and a great place to start the day with a cup of tea or coffee. It is very quiet and helped us recover from our jet lag.

We would definitely recommend Darrall's apartment for a visit to London.

Fantastic location and extremely comfortable place to stay

We were 2 couples traveling together throughout the UK for 3 weeks and wanted to have room to relax in the evenings, cook a meal or get some take away, do laundry, and have some outdoor space. With the 2 bathrooms and the garden area this apartment was perfect and was clean, well supplied, and very well setup for our stay. After some research I realized we needed Queen beds to be comfortable and both bedrooms had the Queens. While everything about the apartment is as described it still exceeded expectations and was just great in every way. The big bonus here was location location location. You can walk along the Thames to a huge amount of attractions in no time. We walked down the Thames to Tower Bridge and over to the Tower of London in about 30 minutes; in the other direction you can walk to Westminster Abbey in about 30 minutes; walk straight over Blackfriars Bridge and you are in the heart of London. The location cannot be beat, especially at the price. Darrall was a great host and very considerate of our comfort. Permanently bookmarked for a future trip to London.

Excellent location.

We stayed at 25 Broadwall apartments for a week in July 2016. After travelling around the UK and staying in hotels it was soooooo nice to actually "live" in a real home and have use of cooking and washing facilities. All this and central London on the doorstep. Lots of great eating and drinking venues within easy walking distance. Very easy access to a lot of Londons top attractions including London Eye, Westminster, Soho, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square etc.

The apartment is clean and modern and has enough room to offer two couples their own private space. There is shower gel and shampoo provided and most people will leave behind tea, coffee, cleaning products etc so no need to rush out immediately to shop for these.

Darrell was there to meet us and gave a good overview of how the apartment "works" and who to contact if any problems.

I would highly recommend this accommodation as it is a very reasonable price, comfortable, and perfect location.

Great apartment !

A friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The owner greeted us as planned and was quite friendly and helpful. The apartment is in a great location next to the Oxo Tower and Gabriel`s Wharf. It is seconds from the Thames and great views of London! It is also within easy walking distance to the London Eye, Waterloo and BlackFriars train and tube stations. We could easily walk to the City, Embankment and Covent Garden areas of London. We enjoyed shopping at the nearby Borough market and had a few meals in the apartment.

The apartment itself did not disappoint. It is spacious with a bedroom and bathroom on each floor, Wifi and tv`s are provided. All needed kitchen equipment was provided and having the ability to wash and dry our clothes was a real plus.

We would definitely want to stay here again! Thanks so much Darrall.

Excellent garden apartment in central London.

Broadwell is in a terrific location very close to the Thames and it is easy to get to the major sites. The apartment is fully equipped and has everything you need. It is attractively furnished and it is very quiet in the evenings. The patio is in an enclosed garden area and it is very pleasant. The owner is available and maintains the property to a high standard. Highly recommended.
