Have an inspiriational holiday or short break on something completely unqiue

Cloud9 is a luxury 40ft Princess motor yacht offering a superb alternative to a hotel or holiday cottage for summer and springs holidays or short winter breaks.

Moored in the Mayflower Marina in Plymouth, Devon, in the heart of the stunning Devon and Cornish coastline, with plenty of quaint river ports and remote sandy beaches to explore.

Overlooking the scenic Tamar River and Cornish countryside, she offers two sun decks on the upper and lower sections of the boat, a luxury leather fitted salon/lounge, two cabins both en-suite (one master cabin, one twin bed cabin) and a complete fully fitted kitchen with all accessories.

About Lisa Adler

Making a move from top of the game corporate marketing, in between racing 42ft yachts cross channel, I decided to mix my passion of sailing and being on the water with my business acumen to do what I enjoy most.

Using my Father's inheritance after he passed, I bought Cloud9 with a vision to provide a completely new way to enjoy a once in a lifetime Cornish holiday. Instead of a cottage or hotel why not stay on a luxury 40ft motor yacht? No detail was too small to contemplate, so we spent a year making Cloud9 a once in a lifetime experience. Over to you guys....

Why Lisa Adler chose Plymouth

What can I say? She's not a cottage, she's a luxury Princess motor yacht! Together with the exceptionally high standard of making her a luxury holiday venue we have also thought of little things like mood lighting in the master bedroom and the salon. Also around the edge of the boat at night so she lights up like a Christmas tree.

We have been highly commended for our exceptionally friendly service and approach and have attempted to cater to every minute detail we can think of to ensure a totally unique, amazing holiday of a lifetime.

We also offer exclusive, private and personalised mini cruises. These can be a Coastal cruise and/or a River Cruise. You will have your own private crew, a Captain and a First Officer who are excellent hosts as well as fully qualified seamen. They will ensure firstly your safety and an unforgettable day. Cruise along the cornish coast, anchor at exclusive beaches, view beautiful bays, stunning quaint estuaries, take a ride in the Tender to the shore and picnic on the beach or stop for lunch to enjoy the local fayre at the pub and if you're lucky even spot dolphins and sea lions!

An excellent break with a very different feel

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at the marina with our 2 grandchildren (who had no idea where we were staying for the week) where we were met by Lisa(a very friendly and laid back character)

The handover experience was good fun with all the relevant information delivered in simple and easily understood manner. The best bit being the demonstration of how to "water the swans".

The weather was really kind for the first 3 days and we all really enjoyed the sun decks.

A real bonus was the international fireworks competition that was held while we were on board the sun deck was a superb place to view the display from.

The last night saw a turn in the weather and we got to experience the other side of life on the ocean wave.

Everything we needed was on board and the marina facilities were 5 star (as described).

The marina restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

All in all a break with the grandkids that was great fun and will certainly be a talking point for months to come.

Definately different

  • 3 of 5

After seeing the pics it looked amazing. I believed I could lay out and sunbathe on the top deck however its not as big as it looks in the pic in fact its only a seat my eyes saw different The marina is easy to find and with a good pair of legs you can walk for miles We walked to the aquarium

The property in my own opinion does need a thorough clean just due to the hot weather its needing a little extra touch leather seating etc in lounge and main bedroom under bed. The sky hatch also builds up with condensation and drips onto the bottom of the main bed I did make the owner aware as it dampens the bedding.

We never met the owner which was strange as every other review in the book had said how attentive she was. Our first day after a long drive she had a carnival with her children which let us get settled in anyway She rang on our 2nd day and said she needed to fill up the boat with water at some point and told us she was off to Bulgaria soon After a couple more days the water ran out so we had to make several telephone calls again she had several children and when we got back from our outing could we give her another ring whilst on our outing we got a text exactly how to fill the water up in detail.

We did this but were never given another call to make sure everything was ok

Whilst on the boat I had noticed it leaned to one side this was confirmed when a gentleman from the marina came on the Thursday to tell us and seemed a little worried and apparently a few people had noticed it leaned to the left we let him enter the boat and look underneath etc I texted the owner to let her know. My reply was ok thanks for letting me know

After this I never slept as I kept thinking the boat was going to capsize hence we went very early on the Saturday morning

Overall and unforgettable experience however for some reason our trip seemed to lack the extra care the owner normally gives and I believe she definitely should have filled the water if only before we arrived fully and made a trip to see what the marine staff were talking about

We have done the trip it was different but will definitely not be doing it again

Definitely recommend Jolly Jacks for all meals and the other side of the marina has some amazing eat outs

A unique holiday experience - not to be missed

  • 4 of 5

A warm, comfortable Yacht, well fitted out for a holiday afloat. We were on board during storm Katie - 60mph+ winds and heavy rain - and enjoyed it! The Marina has a restaurant that serves excellent food if you don't want to cook.

Being the first customers of the season there were a couple of issues that needed the engineer, John, to sort; and they were fixed quickly and competently without disrupting our stay. Lisa could not have been more helpful, always on the end of a phone if we had a question. Would love to repeat the experience. Would love to repeat the experience with better weather to try out the sundeck!

A wonderful welcome, the boat was comfortable with everything you need, home from home. It was so exciting to wake up each morning on the water in an amazing part of the world. We had two fantastic days out on the water. Unforgettable Holiday.
