The property is located a few minutes drive from the pretty village of Parracombe which boasts a traditional pub and village shop perfect for stocking up on supplies or enjoying a hearty meal at the end of a long walk. Surfers bathers and sand castle makers should take to the popular sandy beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe both only a short drive away while the historic villages of Lynton and Lynmouth offer a glimpse into this area s past. Other local attractions include Watermouth Castle The Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Exmoor Zoo. This Grade II-listed farmhouse dates back to the Magna Carta and still retains much of its original charm through its oak beams slate flooring low doorways and rustic doors. Accessed via a short flight of stairs the impressive kitchen/diner is bursting with character through exposed ceiling beams an inglenook fireplace and wood burner slate floors and a traditional farmhouse kitchen complete with two Belfast sinks a butcher s block and patio doors opening onto the veranda. Here you will find an electric oven halogen hob dishwasher American style fridge/freezer and microwave. Once prepared enjoy delicious meals at the farmhouse tables which can be pushed together to seat 10. After a long day on foot take the two steps down into the inviting lounge to unwind beside the wood burner which sits in a large inglenook fireplace. While adults relax in front of the TV in the lounge younger guests can take to the snug/play room to make use of the TV/DVD and games console. A double bedroom shower room and bathroom with separate walk-in shower are all located on the ground floor while the remaining five bedrooms are upstairs. Split across different levels are two doubles two singles and one twin bedroom together with a separate WC. French doors open from the kitchen onto a patio area with seating and fantastic views of Exmoor while a second patio area is located at the front of the property and has access to an enclosed garden. Here you will find more seating for enjoying al fresco drinks together with a child s summerhouse and rotary line. Guests are invited to take part in seasonal farm activities which include collecting eggs seeing the sheep and lambs visiting the pigs and piglets and saying hello to ponies Charles Crystal and Teddy.
