THE HISTORIC CHARLESTON TOWNHOUSE

(MINIMUM RENTAL MONTHLY ONLY - NOT PET FRIENDLY - NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN - NO EXCEPTIONS)

The Historic Charleston Townhouse was built in 1840 and is centrally located in the most sought after neighborhood of Ansonborough. Walking distance to King and Meeting Streets for shopping and fine to casual dinning, the Market and College. The townhouse has been completely renovated with new HVAC, electric and plumbing and is decorated with antiques and modern touches.

When guests enter The Historic Charleston Townhouse, through a private entrance from the street, they will find themselves in a receiving hall. Proceeding to the second floor, they will find a sleek, chic, urban-style kitchen with exposed brick walls, beautiful cherry wood cabinets, solid-surface counter tops, full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, and all necessary appliances and dishes. The kitchen opens to an elegant dining room with antique table and chairs, built-in shelves, antique chandelier and furnishings.

On the other side of the kitchen you will enter an elegant and comfortable living room with gas fireplace and antique cabinets. An elegantly-contemporary powder room is adjacent to the living room. A street view from several large windows captures the roof-tops and steeples of downtown Charleston.

On the third floor guests will relax in a beautiful master bedroom suite with closet and red marble bathroom. The master suite is furnished with a queen size rice bed and other antique furnishings. Higher than the tree tops, the views of the skyline and church steeples from the windows are breathtaking.

Across the hall is the second bedroom with a full size bed and comfortable antique furnishings. This bedroom also has a closet and a granite bathroom. A stackable washer and dryer is in the bathroom for guests use.

The townhouse also provides off-street parking for 1 car. No Exceptions.

There is no yard access. There is no elevator.

No pets allowed.

The townhouse is not child-friendly.

The townhouse will accommodate comfortably 3 guests in 2 bedrooms and can do 4 guests sharing queen and double beds.

If you have a larger group, please call for our other accomodations.

This home has everything from historic charm to modern comfort. Easy walking to shopping, restaurants, groceries, siteseeing attractions and College of Charleston.

Kirk, the owner, was so gracious and helpful, he made us feel like this was our home away from home! Looking forward to our next stay at this beautiful home!

Idyllic summer in Charleston

Our daughter stayed here while attending a session of summer school at the College of Charleston. The townhouse was much bigger than she needed, but the location made it ideal. The neighborhood felt safe, and she was close to the school, a grocery store, lots of restaurants, and many historical attractions. The home was clean, well-maintained, well-appointed, and accurately reflected the description posted on VRBO. The owner of the townhouse was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt in replying to questions. We definitely recommend this property.

WONDERFUL STAY IN CHARLESTON

My wife and I spent the mo. of June in one of the best cities in the South. This is a super place to visit and learn about the history. The shopping on King St. is very good and the Harbor and parks are very nice. The landlord was on top of everything and he gave us plenty of privacy. The place was very clean and well equipped. The locaton cann't be beat. It is in the middle of everything and was well represented by the pictures and description of the property. Looking forward to our next visit.

Location, location, location!

My husband and I stayed in this lovely home during the month of April and found everything about it to be perfect. It is a well-maintained property close to shopping, churches, historic district, theatre and restaurants. Kirk was very gracious and knowledgeable about the area. An added bonus was a parking spot which is very welcome in Charleston. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely downtown Charleston, SC apartment.

Kirk's apartment was perfect for our needs. It was within walking distance of most anywhere in downtown Charleston and walk we did... One huge advantage was having a parking spot. The apartment itself was great. Tall ceilings made it feel very spacious. The furnishing and decor was lovely, beds were comfortable and the place was very quiet. We cooked several meals and had everything we needed to do this.

Kirk was an excellent landlord. I will definitely look to stay here in the future.

My Charleston home- I miss you!

I loved staying in Kirk's wonderful apartment. Not only are you in a fantastic downtown location, on one of the prettiest streets in Charleston and within walking distance from the supermarket, but the apartment interior is cosy and beautiful, very nicely furnished with gorgeous art and lovely personal touches. It felt like home for my 5 month stay. Having a parking space was essential as this can get tricky downtown, so that was very handy too, Kirk allows you one space. Kirk was a lovely landlord, very helpful and welcoming!!

In downtown Charleston historic district; walk to shopping, restaurants, parks, Gaillard Auditorium, TD Arena and College of Charleston, historical places and houses; grocery/liquor stores 1 block away. Close proximity to everything. One parking space provided which is very desirable in downtown Charleston.
