About the property

This property enjoys a quiet rural location in a small hamlet and yet is just a short drive from many of North Devon s most popular sights and attractions. Just five miles away is the village of Instow with its pretty sandy beach and various eateries. A short ferry trip across the estuary brings visitors to the neighbouring village of Appledore an attractive harbour village with cobbled streets and interesting maritime museum. Just a mile from the village is Skern Lodge Outdoor Activity Centre which offers a range of activities including surfing at Westward Ho! kayaking on the River Torridge and onsite climbing and assault course. This property has been lovingly finished in a contemporary style with spacious accommodation for four guests. The light-filled lounge offers comfortable seating a coal-effect electric fire and TV. The large patio doors at one end of the room make the room feel even more spacious and offer views across the garden. The kitchen/diner with its dining table for six is a well-equipped room with a warming AGA-style oven which is lit seasonally an additional oven hob microwave fridge dishwasher and washing machine. A freezer is located in the property s porch. There are two bedrooms. The first of these is a double room with tasteful dark wood furniture and its own TV whilst the second is a twin room with 2 6 single beds. There is also a shower room with WC. Outside the property enjoys a good-sized enclosed garden with a lawn area and a large patio with table chairs sun loungers and a BBQ. This makes a lovely space in which to relax but for those who might enjoy some extra space to run around and play games guests are able to use the neighbouring 0.5 acres of enclosed paddock which is just next to the property. There is off-road parking for two cars.
