About the property

This property is situated in the village of Modbury in South Devon. The village offers a range of independent shops as well as a handy convenience store. Within an easy fifteen-minute drive to the north of the property lies the picturesque town of Ivybridge which acts as a gateway to Dartmoor with plenty of scenic walking routes available directly from the town. Around the same distance to the south of the property is the sandy beach at Bigbury-on-Sea from which it is possible to take a sea tractor across to neighbouring Burgh Island where visitors can enjoy a meal at the Burgh Island Hotel in the stylish surroundings which were the setting for two Agatha Christy novels. Several external steps from the street bring guests to the front door of this former-chapel. Once inside guests will be greeted with a small hallway and to the right is the kitchen/diner offering a dining table seating six and well-equipped kitchen complete with electric oven hob microwave fridge freezer dishwasher and washer/dryer. Adjacent to the kitchen is the relaxing lounge with its two sofas TV/DVD and hi-fi with iPod dock. A convenient cloakroom with WC is also located on the ground floor. Upstairs there are three bedrooms two of which are double rooms one of which benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC. The third room is a single room with an additional pull-out single bed. The property s main bathroom is also located on the first floor and offers the best of both worlds with a shower-over-bath and WC perfect whether you want a relaxing soak or a reviving shower. There is parking available in the property s garage or just in front of it.
