About the property BEAUTIFUL CONTEMPORARY COTTAGE SET IN THE FOOTHILLS OF THE ANGUS GLENS This traditional B listed stone built cottage has been imaginatively converted to offer a romantic retreat for a couple. The contemporary interior is beautifully presented to offer a charming characterful holiday home for a memorable stay. The cottage is set in the idyllic tranquility of the Angus Glens an area of outstanding natural beauty and botanical interest. Glen Clova boasts spectacular and dramatic scenery and is home to a National Nature Reserve attracting many wildlife enthusiasts. The area offers a wide range of outdoor pursuits which include hill walking climbing golf ornithology biking and angling. Easy access to the main towns of Dundee Aberdeen and Perth. The accommodation is all on one level and offers ONE bedroom: double with en-suite shower room. Open-plan lounge/diner: with original beams and spectacular fireplace with multi-fuel stove flat screen TV DVD and Wi-Fi. Kitchen: well-equipped with electric oven and hob microwave fridge and washing machine. Outside: shed with freezer and tumble dryer secure storage for bikes/outdoor equipment. Large two part garden with lawn area patio with bench sun loungers and BBQ. Private water supply. Amenities: private parking. Bed linen electric oil-fired central heating weeks worth of solid fuel logs and initial supply of kindling supplied (further supplies of kindling available locally). Private water supply. Regret no smoking. 1 medium size well-behaved dog welcome. There is no mobile phone signal but a landline is available for emergency calls. Location: shops 9 miles hotel with restaurant 6 miles. Arrival: 4pm. The cottage is a credit to its owners, they have really thought of everything so you don't need to take everything with you as we did. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and has all that is needed for cooking etc. The lounge has a large TV, surround sound and basic sky package plus DVDs and Bluetooth connectivity for music on your iPhone etc, the wood burner completes the package and the wood, kindling and even fire lighters are provided, what more can you ask. The location is remote but the cottage is not quite as secluded as I first thought as it has neighbors on 3 sides, hopefully the builders next door will have gone by the time you visit so they won't spoil your peace and quiet. Outside the views are stunning and the garden very dog friendly as completely secure and fenced. There is a kennel and secure area for your dog but we didn't use it. The neighbours dogs are quite vocal and chase up and down the fence when they see you but are not a major problem. All in all an excellent property and great location if you want to be away from it all as we did.
