An Excellent Place To Spend New Year
We're a group of 9 friends, and we spend a very wet & stormy New Year at Barton Court. But whilst the weather outside was horrible, the log burner in the spacious lounge kept us all cosy and warm. The dining room, kitchen, and bedrooms were all very well sized for a large group, and having 3 showers made mornings straightforward. Dishwasher also made things nice and easy after cooking enormous meals! The owner was friendly and helpful, and is just across the courtyard, less than 10 metres away.
The one thing to bear in mind is that the place is pretty isolated (which is part of its charm); in a small village, but over an hour round trip to the nearest proper supermarket. And the best part of an hour's drive away from the motorway. So minor flooding on the roads made the journey home a bit of an adventure!
