The cottage is comfortable and well appointed and location is wonderfully peaceful
30+ wild red deer in the field opposite the cottage on arrival. The view down and across the Barle valley is stunning and although the cottage is next to a road, daytime usage seems to be about 3 or 4 vehicles an hour. The walk to Tarr Steps, although mostly on tarmac, was scenic, enjoyable and comfortably done before setting off for the afternoon. I was fortunate with the weather and managed 8 or 9 hours a day outside, locally and up to the estuary at Barnstable either fishing or walking. A very good week and the cottage met all my requirements.
