About this property

This beautiful house in central Paris is located on the Left Bank, a five minute walk from Luxembourg Gardens and within walking distance from le Louvre and Musée d'Orsay. It is very quiet and safe.

The house has its own entrance in a nice, flowered yard and is distributed on four levels (2200 square feet) with a terrace overlooking the roofs. Living room, kitchen, dining room, and one bathroom are on the ground-floor, very large by American standards.

On the first-floor, two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed,the other with two single beds (one pull out), one toilet and one shower. One adult can comfortably sleep two teens are fine, the single beds are regular beds, but the room is not very large.
On the second-floor, one master bedroom with a king-size bed, one separate toilet and one bathroom.
On the third-floor, another living room with TV and stereo and the terrace.

This contemporary, elegant house is mostly convenient for any visitor in Paris. There are many wonderful restaurants, cafés, and shops around. Open-air markets for any one who likes to cook in the large and very well equipped kitchen. An ideal place to stay for the week.

Terrific base for exploring Paris

Our family of 5 was very comfortable during the week before Christmas, venturing out from the house each day by foot and metro to see literally everything one could hope to see in the City. Annette was very welcoming and a terrific host. Highly recommend!

Montparanasse Gem

This apartment is unique. It is 4 levels which worked well for our group of 6. Common area on ground floor, parents with young children on 1st floor, grandparents on 2nd floor and terrace on top level. FYI -children cannot play in downstairs courtyard as other tenants sleep late. It is a little far from the tourist areas but worked ok because of subway. Go to Montparnasse area for more cafes, shops. We didn’t read info and happened upon it 2nd day with metro station very close. Check- in and check-out was easy.

Fabulous!

The house was lovely…location on a very quiet street and off a courtyard that was very quiet. We stayed eight days and actually didn’t cook in the fully equipped kitchen as there were so many cafes and restaurants close by. We were very comfortable and had plenty of space for each of our two teenage girls and me and my husband. Train station was right down the street and we had easy access to everything. The house doesn’t have a dryer but that was not a problem as everything dried quickly overnight after hanging. The home is not just a rental space so you must expect the owner’s personal items (clothing etc) in the cabinets—this was different for us from prior VRBOs…again not a problem just fyi. The house is full of wonderful art and art books and that absolutely added to the experience of being in Paris. It has multiple levels with funky shaped floors and a lovely patio off the top floor where we enjoyed some pastries one evening. Annette, the owner, was always available via email or text to answer our questions and was just lovely to work with! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Annette and Luc!!

Spacious Apartment, Great Location

Our family of 6 stayed here for 5 nights in the middle of a European trip. The idea was to get away from hotels, and spread out a bit more in a residential setting. This home is much larger than most listings, and it accommodated us very well. I'm not sure it would be a great setup for multiple couples - other than the king bed, the beds might be best for kids / teens - but for our family it was just right. The reviews note that the stairs would not be ideal for elderly and I think that's right. But families such as ours, who don't mind the stairs and kids who can be flexible in sleeping arrangements, would probably appreciate the larger space. My guess is that most French apartments in old buildings have layouts that are a bit quirky to Americans, and this place is no exception. But it's modern on the inside and the owner has a good eye and decorated very nicely. Owner, Annette was very communicative and made sure we understood how to get access and utilize the property. She checked in the first 24 hours to make sure we were OK, but after that left us to enjoy Paris! The location is fantastic. Lots of restaurants, markets, boulangeries, etc. right there on Bd Montparnasse. Or, you can walk along Bd Edgar Quinet towards the Montparnasse tower, and discover another area full of eating options. The Metro is right around the corner, and Bd Raspail itself is a straight shot right towards the center of town (I ran along it several mornings). Overall, the place and experience was exactly as you would think looking at the listing.

Outstanding!

We loved our stay here! Our hosts were lovely at explaining the ins and outs of the home and making us feel comfortable. There was so much space for our family, a great large kitchen, tons of natural light, and comfortable rooms. We also loved seeing the beautiful art adorning the spaces. The location was also perfect: out of the way of touristy places and full of gorgeous old buildings but just around the corner from the metro station that made it easy to get anywhere in the city. Would definitely recommend!
