Seagull Cottage is a new (2015) three bedroom holiday home just over two minutes walk from the beach. There are beautiful views of the sea from the lounge and the ground floor bedroom windows. For those that enjoy walking, the South West Coast Path is just seconds away and you can reach local bars and restaurants in less than two minutes. The golf course is just a few hundred yards and fishing lakes are just ten minutes drive away. The town centre is just minutes away by car and around eight minutes on foot, where there are plenty of shops, tea rooms and restaurants. Take a leisurely walk along the canal and the wharf and take the children crabbing by the breakwater. Tamar Lakes, 20 minutes drive away, offers windsurfing, kayaking and sailing instruction. There are more family attractions not too many miles away and these include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Trethorne Leisure Park and Cornwall's Crealy. You can also travel to the picturesque villages of Port Isaac and Clovelly.

A Budeiful Cottage
This is a delightful holiday home and served 4 adults and 3 teenagers perfectly. The view of the beach to the rear of the property, the short stroll to it, (ideal for the body boarders amongst us) the easy distance to the shops and the many eating places so close by make this a perfect location. Communication with the owners has been prompt and excellent throughout. Thank you for a most enjoyable and memorable stay in the Budeiful Seagull Cottage!
Home from home
What a great property. The welcome pack of goodies was a real bonus. We enjoyed our stay and most suited for all age groups. (We were a group of 4 all over the age of 70 years)
Seagull Cottage - Attractive inside and out!
Seagull Cottage is an attractive, well designed property both externally and internally. We felt it actually seemed larger inside than the photos portrayed. Plenty of storage. Nice touch was the welcome pack. The cottage is in a perfect location. Short walk to the beach, shops nearby and larger supermarkets not far away. Variety to pubs and restaurants within walking distance. If you enjoy walking - clifftops, beach (checking tides first) and canal walk. Lots of activities close by. We've stayed many times in Bude and found Seagull Cottage to be one of our favourites for future holidays. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
Great Property and location
Loved the property, great place to stay, fantastic sea views.
Lovely welcome pack on arrival.
Everything we needed was there, what more could you ask for, would certainly recommend.
A Seagull You Will Love !!!!!!!
Having never visited Bude before, we were concerned that the house we had chosen was what it said it was. With Seagull Cottage, there is no need whatsoever for any concerns. The location and standard of the house has already been covered in other feedbacks but as far as we are concerned, there really are no words or pictures that can truly sum up this superb holiday home. The owners have installed the utmost comfortable and pleasing interior décor with all the utensils you need for self-catering. From this location, we visited Clovelly, Padstow, Boscastle and Port Isaac all of which were within easy driving distances which allowed also to be able to take in and appreciate all that Bude has to offer in the way of beach, walks and canal. From the very start of our booking the owners communication was superb and very informative. There suggestion of Tommy Jacks was spot on and we visited it 3 times for food. If we decide to visit North Cornwall again, Seagull Cottage would be first on the list.
Stunning House and Area
The photos of the property don't do it justice. It is a spacious property with cosy décor and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The owners are very welcoming and full of useful tips on the local area. The property is indeed a stones throw from the sea and we made sure that we walked down to the beach and along the coastline every day. We were very fortunate with the weather which allowed us to enjoy a drink in a few of the many beachside bars outside! Tommy Jacks is a must, we had a lovely meal there and the staff were very welcoming and even let our 10 year old feed the fish which made her day.
We are coming back again.
There are two beautiful beaches in Bude: Summerleaze which is around fifteen minutes walk and Crooklets which is just over two minutes walk. Apart from the traditional bucket and spade shops in the town centre there are art galleries, jewellery shops, ice-cream parlours, cafés, pasty shops (real pasties of course, not factory made), surf shops, charity shops, newsagents and a department store. Lansdown Dairy convenience store stays open until 10.00pm seven days a week. A petrol station is on the road out of the town centre. There is also a post office and there are several banks with cash machines.
Sainsbury’s and the Co-Op have stores in the town and there is a large Morrisons with a petrol station a few minutes drive away in Stratton.
In addition to the numerous cafés in the town and by the beaches there are traditional pubs that serve food such as The Globe, The Brendan Arms, The Bencoolen and The carriers Inn. The Falcon hotel has a bar serving food and a more upmarket restaurant. Several hotels in the area have been transformed in to contemporary bar/restaurants and serve an excellent variety of daytime and evening meals. These include Tommy Jack’s which is just a minute away, Hebasca, Elements and The Bay View Inn at Widemouth.
Local businesses offer adventure courses, sailing instruction and surfing lessons.
