About the property

12 People (6 Bedroom). Modernized in 14/15. Orange Grove Garden, Swimming Pool.

The house was built in 1914 in art nouveau style by Don Onofre Bauza Castañer with profits obtained from the trade of oranges with France. The house has been in the Rullan Bauza family ever since. Today the is is owned by the 4th generation of the family. The house name is «Sa Bleda» which is the Mallorquin name for the vegetable “chard”. It is on the list of the «most emblematic buildings» in Soller, due to its unique architecture. 

In 2014-2015 the house has been through a modernisation. The aim has been to restore the house respectfully, while providing modern comforts such as air-conditioning, swimming pool and wifi. 

Even though the house has a very central location in the beautiful village of Sóller, a relaxed and private atmosphere can be enjoyed in the large garden behind the house. Here you will find, among orange trees, the «salt water» swimming pool and a outdoors dining and barbecue area.

The house consists of three main floors and and a cosy basement. The main social spaces of the house are found on the ground floor. Eat breakfast in the traditional kitchen, or have a more formal meal in the adjacent dining room. Do some work in the office, or put your feet up in the library. Two large halls traverses the house and link the narrow village street to the secluded garden. The six bedrooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor. At the top floor, where the views are the most spectacular, is where the suite is located. Here you can enjoy your morning coffee with the mountains of the Soller valley as an impressive backdrop. 

The property is registred at the Office of Tourism in Balearic Islands (GOIB C. Inov Inv. y Turismo) with lisence number ET4412.

An amazing villa within the heart of Soller

We stayed at this beautiful villa as a base for the week leading up to my sisters wedding and what an amazing choice we made. We were blown away when we arrived by the beauty of not only the villas original features but the magnificent gardens and pool area.

The villa inside is very spacious and traditionally decorated and has all the amenities that a family would need, in a great location that meant we could stroll in to Soller in the mornings for fresh bread and milk. With all of the hustle and bustle of the town, the villa was a real sanctuary of peace and tranquility.

We had a number of BBQ's for visiting friends and family and the outdoor space really lends itself to that. The pool was a big hit with everyone and being able to pick your own fruit from the garden was a lovely touch.

Tisha who manages the house is also a big plus, she was extremely helpful from showing us round the villa, to leaving us information packs which covered everything you would need to know. We could also call on her to arrange for food services delivered to the home etc and she went as far as printing off my dads wedding speech and hand delivered it to him, a few days before the wedding.

We would recommend this villa to everyone, it is truly one of a kind!

Stunning Sa Bleda!

We were lucky to be the first family to rent Sa Bleda in June 2015, following its extensive sympathetic modernisation and it did not disappoint.

We travelled as a family of 8, 6 adults, one toddler and one baby and from the moment we arrived at Sa Bleda, we were thoroughly overwhelmed by the outstanding elegance of the property.

The photographs of the house and grounds, accurately reflect the property and the attention to detail by the owner and manager was faultless.

We were thoroughly impressed by all aspects of the villa, both inside and outside. The exterior living space was beautifully presented and was fantastic for all our guests to enjoy the grounds.

The magnificent views from the villa and its proximity to the centre of town as well as the local transport links, made our stay all the more enjoyable, as it was so easy to explore the surrounding areas.

We would not hesitate to rent this villa again as a family or with a group of friends for a number of reasons but mainly due to the stunning property and its excellent location.

We cannot thank the owner and agent enough for their assistance for the duration of our stay in Soller, it was greatly appreciated.

Thanks again and we hope to visit again soon.

The house is perfectly located in the heart of Sóller and the Sóller-valley - «the valley of the oranges». The Tramuntana mountain range surrounds the valley, with the characteristic «Puig Major» as the centrepiece. Towering 1445 metres above sea level, the mountain is the highest point in the Balearic Islands.

The centric location is a great advantage, year round. A very short walk from the house, straight down a typical narrow village street, you will find the beautiful main square of Sóller. Facing the square, the gothic cathedral of Sóller is probably the first thing you notice. But when you lower you gaze, you will see the heart of Sóller, teeming with life. Around the square and the in nearby streets you will find cafes, traditional bakeries, butchers, vegetable shops, etc. All within a couple of minutes walk. A nice morning activity is to buy traditional Mallorquin ensaïmada in the nearest bakery «Es pa pagés» and maybe have a cortado at the Bar Turismo - just next door. On Saturdays there is an interesting market with local produce, and throughout the year a number of festivals, concerts and other cultural events will take place here at the «Plaça de sa Constitució». 

If taking a trip outside of the village is on your mind, you will find many options close by. The train station, which provides for transport to the capital Palma, is only 100 meters away. The station is also adjacent to the starting point for the «Soller – Puerto de Soller» tram, which makes the Port de Soller beach easily accessible, even without a car. Nearby is also the Soller taxi stop. Should you have your own means of transport, the house has parking spaces available, securely behind an electric gate.
