Casa Julia is a typical house with a lot of Spanish details, situated in a rural setting. The house and its surroundings offer the opportunity to experience a very varied holiday.

The house sits on a mountainside with an area of ​​2 hectares. Here you will find include lemon trees, olive trees, almond trees, orange trees and fig trees.

Division

Ground floor:

A spacious hall, living room with fireplace, 1 double bedroom with bathroom, a kitchen and a dining room with patio doors to the outside. The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge and freezer and a large stove with oven.

First floor:

2 large bedrooms and a bathroom with a double shower. One of the two bedrooms has a spacious double antique canopy bed of 180x200 cm. Adjacent to this bedroom is a spacious balcony.

The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be pushed together as desired. Here you will find extra long beds with a length of 210 cm. Both bedrooms and the overflow are equipped with air conditioning.

Outside terraces are all redone and is a nice pool of 8 x 4.5 meters. The depth of the bath is from 1 to 2 meters. Adjacent to the pool is an additional outdoor shower.

There is a parking lot next to the house for several cars.

Notes:
The house is equipped with a free WiFi connection. From the living room you can reach the pool and garden through French doors. Because the bedrooms are at a reasonable distance from one another, you have all privacy. The garden is very big so there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Outside you have all the potential privacy because it zwembar include shielded by a wall.

Casa Julia,Alora

This is a lovely rustic villa set on the slopes of a valley about 5 mins drive from the centre of Alora. It was our 3rd consecutive year at the villa and we have yet to be disappointed. There are plenty of sights to see within about a 30 mins drive so a car is essential. If it is beaches you want each day, then this is probably not the villa for you as the nearest would be about 45 mins away. However if it is the rural Spain you require then this could be for you, if you are happy to listen to the local goats being taken to graze each day ! The villa is not overlooked and is set in plenty of grounds with limes, lemons, grapes and figs all growing there. It is well equipped for all your kitchen needs with a good Wi-Fi connection. The pool and poolside areas are private and you may find yourself spending a number of hours there as we have ! All in all a well maintained and great villa in our opinion.

Great stay. Great villa.

The most important thing when booking villa's for holiday rental is that you have a reliable owner and property manager who you can trust and a property which meets expectations. I am delighted to say that Casa Julia is perfect. Frans, the owner, is trustworthy and communicates without delay on any issues. As a huge bonus, Tim & Sheena who manage the property are perfect hosts and always available if you have issues.

The villa itself is great. Spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Upstairs has aircon. Downstairs does not. For us Scottish people, the night heat can be disruptive but the downstairs bedroom was fine with the fan which is provided. Upstairs rooms were ice-cold.

The kitchen is spacious and modern, the sitting room is also spacious and equally modern in terms of TV and Wifi.

Outdoors you have several sun terrace options and dining spaces. The pool is big enough for a large family and well proportioned in terms of depths for children and adults.

Now, you'll need a car and you'll need your skills for negotiating the driveway and road to the villa. It's an experience which at first is daunting but after time become easy enough.

We were'nt impressed with the local village. There little to see and finding really good places to eat was a problem. The best food we had was from Mirador which ironically is closest to the villa. You could walk it if you like hills.

What Alora does have is great links to the lake district area around El Gorro and a train station direct to Malaga in 39 minutes.

Overall, what lets this villa down slightly in the local area and particularly the lack of good local food but the property itself is great. I would have no hesitations going back again or recommending this to a friend.

Casa Julia was just as described on the website, a lovely Villa in a wonderful location set on the slopes of a valley just outside Alora. The villa had all the facilities we needed for a family of three, plenty of kitchen utensils, dishwasher, washing machine etc. The pool was well maintained and well used by us ! There are some nice restaurants nearby and "El Mirador" is a must with stunning views over Alora. A car is a must if you stay here as it's about a 5 minute drive into Alora, where all of your shopping needs can be met. This is certainly a lovely villa in a wonderfully peaceful location with only the sound of the local goats bells to "disturb" you as the farmer takes them to graze each day. We highly recommend this villa if you want a peaceful holiday and certainly hope to return in the not too distant future. Tim and Sheena who look after the property deserve a special mention also for their help on arrival and local information.

The typical Spanish white village of Alora is beautifully situated between three rocks, just 30 minutes drive from Malaga. Nearby are shops, restaurants and some bars. The train station of Alora is directly connected with Malaga and the beaches of the Costa del Sol. It is 40 minutes drive to Malaga Airport.

Nearby is the El Chorro National Park with its lakes of Ardales. The spectacular scenery and beautiful waters make this area ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, canoeing, cycling and horse riding.

On the other side of Alora is the large city of Malaga, with many shops and cultural activities. It is very advisable to book a nice bike ride with guide to discover these ways the rich history of the city. There include the Picasso Museum, Thyssen Museum, Car Museum and find old Moorish ruins.

Furthermore also Rhonda, Seville, Cordoba and Granada within easy reach.
