Stylishly furnished, contemporary London mews house, close to everything...

London is a very big city so this house, less than a minute off the everything-you-could-want Clapham High Street and two minutes to the underground station, is about as well connected to everything in London as you can get.

The house itself is set around a courtyard in a private development within a small converted Victorian school building and is very spacious, a bit loft style, with 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A very chic contemporary mews house with excellent wifi and a very comfy feel.

The downstairs is an open planned recently ronvated living/kitchen area with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and wash/dryer in the open planned kitchen. A large living and dining space with amble seating for both dinning and relaxing which then opens onto a private garden area. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room plus balcony and the main bathroom with bath and shower. This home is beautifully and stylishly furnished & decorated with wooden floors downstairs and carpet upstairs, it is ideal for anything from a few nights to longer term. Smart TV and cable make nights in a dream and the kitchen is able to deliver anything from a snack to a three course meal with the array of supermarkets and speciality shops on hand. Towels and bed linen are provided with a weekly maid service if required.

Clapham is one of London's villages encapsulating everything you need, from supermarkets, cinema, gym, bars and restaurants on the door step of the house plus the wide open spaces of the common. Only two minutes or so walk to the Northern line at Clapham North and then less then ten minutes to the West End or City. Buckingham Palace is few tube stops as is Harrods, Leicester Square and Covent Garden are straight up the Northern line, it's just too easy!

Perfectly placed, you will find it very difficult to find a property set so close to everything from transport links to shops, cinemas, a gym, a large park, children's play grounds and paddling pools on the common, covering pretty much all your local requirements. In a beautiful and unique setting, very private and secure, you'll never want for anywhere else to stay in London.

About Marc Field

Lived all over the world but have always had a home in London since Uni and now I'm settled in Australia I've more time to come back to the UK regularly. Preferring to stay in my own place then a hotel I've changed from long terms tenants to holiday lets.

The house is fully furnished with I everything I may need when I staying in London on either business or pleasure. Love to cook, love a quiet night in but I'm a keen gym goer and need somewhere with places I can run, swim and work out close by. Anything you need to know please let me know.

Why Marc Field chose Clapham Town

As you'll see when you stay there, it's fantastically located, to be honest if you look at maps of places available to transport hubs I'm one of the best located there is. Two minutes to the Northern line which is then 10-15 minutes either to the City or the West End. Easy for Twickenham or the Oval and easier for the trendy nightlife of Clapham and south London.

What makes this house unique

Well located but off the street in a small private courtyard development. The house and courtyard setting has a very European feel to it, very safe, very secure and very private. I've started to move some of my aboriginal paintings to the house to remind me of Australia whilst I'm here and I love the warmth they give the place as well as complimenting some of the 17/18th century architectural prints I also collect. I think the house has a great feel to it, it feels like a home...

The owner Marc was very responsive and accommodating throughout the entire process. He provided an excellent Information Sheet prior to our arrival that was very helpful about the property and the neighborhood.

The home was beautiful and modern and was a nice place to relax and get a good night sleep after a busy day sightseeing in London.

The home is located on a quite street and just a minute away from the Underground in a trendy and cool neighborhood. Home is only 10 minutes from London City center on the subway which was incredible.

Highly recommend this property to any future travellers as my family and I LOVE IT!

Very clean and quiet place with a perfect location!

We enjoyed staying here, esp. with all the local restaurants, markets and cafe options. Quiet street. A great health food store with smoothies nearby. Very close to underground. Newly renovated place. New washer / dryer. Beds are a double / full size by USA standards. Clean, soft sheets and comfy beds and pillows. Easy to check in and out. Highly recommend this place especially since it is a great price.

Great place to stay

Close to metro and trains neighborhood was nice and fun and safe. Close to essentials if needed. Marc was Easy to work with and the girl who met us their waited till we arrived even though we had to wait for a train that had one of ourbags on it because it had to be checked in. Very enjoyable and very quiet. We did not go into the local pubs but it looked like everyone was having a good time. If your in a hurry to do laundry though take it to the laundry mat. Although the drying room iostairs was great for drying shoes and towels. Overall a great place to stay.

A Lovely Property in a Wonderful and Convenient Location

The house is nestled in a gated courtyard only a few blocks from the Underground. It is easy to find, and the communication with Marc and his liaison was clear, efficient and accommodating. Unfortunately, we were there the hottest week London has seen in several hundred (yes, hundred) years, and there were some issues with keeping the temperature comfortable. Marc, kindly, refunded some of our fee to appease that which was appreciated. The flat is clean and well appointed. It was so nice to be able to wash our clothes after a week of traveling before London, and relax on comfortable furniture and cook a meal in the modernized kitchen. It was much nicer than a hotel, and it was just as advertised, and more. Thank you, Marc, for a allowing us to share your home. We highly recommend it!

Good and comfortable

Overall, the apartment is convenient and comfortable. Our family of four enjoyed our stay for four days. However, the water drains so slow in the second shower (with tub) that we end up just using the shower stall for all of us. The kitchen is very new and the owner provided everything we need to cook for our breakfast. The combined wash and dryer, we don’t like so much because it did not wash and dry clothes well or maybe we just don’t know how to use it. The apartment has a patio with chairs and tables. However, the patio is full of weeds and dead plants. No one has taken care of the patio for a long time. We did not spent any time in it. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. We tried Spanish food and Turkish food and we loved it.

Literally 2 minutes walk to Clapham North tube line direct to the west end and city, railiway with links to Twickenham & the Oval. Everything on the door step from supermarkets and a great high street, bars, restaurants, Clapham Common, gym and swimming pool.

If you are delayed in anyway getting to the property please let us know as soon as you can so we can amend meeting you. If we have to wait for a longer then an hour we may impose a small fee.

Cancellation policy is up to 180 days prior to arrival I'll give a 100% refund and 120 days I'll refund 50%.
