About Patti Oehmke
I love the outdoors and being near the Bay fills my soul with contentment and moments of awe. I enjoy watching the eagles at work and play in the wetlands from my front porch. I lose myself in the hunt for fossils along the beaches. I love the sunny days and the stormy days on the bay. And the laughter and good cheer of a crab feast with loved ones. I hope you enjoy my home in the same way.

This home was closer to the bay than I had thought. Pleasant surprise! Home was well furnished and decor was very nice.
This was a great property. Very clean and well kept. I was watching my grandsons, 2 and 4 years old, and the fenced in back yard was perfect. The downstairs was roomy and fine for playing. The beach and boardwalk were very close and a quick drive to them. The area was quiet and anyone we saw was friendly. The bedrooms were very nicely done and the beds were super comfortable.Thank you for the great stay!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this home. Great location to North Beach with wonderful restaurants, beach, and shopping. Patti the owner was always responsive and helpful. We would stay here again.
Sweet spot review
We enjoyed our stay in this North Beach home, and we were most impressed with how it was stocked with everything we needed other than food. Linens, paper products, condiments, hand soap, cleaning and laundry supplies, and even beach chairs and ziplock bags. The kitchen was also well stocked, so cooking dinner for 8 was a breeze. The beds were very comfortable, and check-in was super easy with the front door keypad. The main downside for us is that we expected to be able to walk to the beach since the listing description says that the beach and town shops/restaurants are within a few minutes walk. The problem is that much of the road between the house and the town has no sidewalk, and the shoulder is narrow due to the wetlands. We did not feel that walking was remotely possible, especially carrying beach chairs and such, so the listing is a bit misleading even though it would be a short walk given the distance.
Sweet stay on the bay!
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely, well-equipped home!
Sweet Spot Cottage
We had a nice stay at Sweet Spot Cottage on the Bay, in North Beach. The house is in a great location just outside North Beach and a several yards from the bay plus a wild lands marsh. It is a good size house with plenty of space.
There were a few minor hiccups during are rental, but nothing that couldn't be overlooked.
This was a brand new rental property just listed on VRBO. It was on the market for sale only several days prior to our booking date. Because of this the owner had to scramble to prepare the house for our arrival. There was nothing involved we couldn't overlook. I would recommend booking the Sweet Spot Cottage for an enjoyable vacation stay.
