Staying in Cathy's home is like unpacking your bag in your own home. Cathy and her granddaughter are so helpful in organising your stay in Epernay with suggestions for Champagne tastings, things to see and do and even making restaurant bookings. I would highly recommend Cathy's home to anyone wanting to feel like they are living at home.
The apartment has everything you need for a short or long break in Epernay. We cooked in a few times and the kitchen has everything you need. The apartment is beautifully decorated and spacious for two people.
The location is very central to the city and within easy walking distances of the boulangerie for good croissants and several places for champagne degustation. Both important considerations! :-) Having the underground parking included in the price is a good thing too. On Saturdays there's also a good local market very close for buying fresh meat, veg & fruit.
Cathy was charming but it helps if you can speak a bit of French. Their own champagne is very good and comparable with some of the top tier champagne houses - well worth bringing a bottle or two home.
We had a lovely few days in Cathys apartment. It is very well located and a good size for a family.
As per the other reviews for this apartment, we couldn't fault it. Cathy is such a lovely, welcoming person and obviously takes pride in her apartment. It is very spacious and well equipped with everything you could need. The parking is great and you don't need the car around town as the location is so central.
We only had a short stay so would love to get back to Epernay and wouldn't look anywhere else to stay.
Many thanks Cathy.
Cathy and her granddaughter were amazing. So thoughtful and helpful. The place was very clean and fully equipped. Great location and we would stay there again.
My wife and I stayed in Cathy's apartment in Epernay in early June and we loved it! Communication with Cathy prior to arrival was very good and thanks to Google translate there were no issues with written communication. Upon arrival in Epernay, Cathy and Elyse (who spoke English) met us at the train station and drove us to the apartment after a quick tour of the town. The apartment itself was clean and spacious. The kitchen has just about everything you need if you want to cook at the apartment. The bed was very comfortable and the location was great! It was our pleasure to meet Cathy...what a wonderful person! If/when we come back to Epernay, we'll certainly be checking to see if Cathy's apartment is available first! And be sure to check out Prestige Burger just down the street for a foie gras burger! Thank you again Cathy!
