I work in the media field and we love Roma and this wonderful neighbourhood, where you can enjoy the best part of the city. Gardening is my preferred hobby.
Patrizia purchased this Apartment in 1985
Why Patrizia chose Monte Verde
As soon as I saw this house, it was "love at first sight". The building is ancient, but filled with sunshine. It has a fascinating garden. Located in the centre of Roma, but in a green public area, it has bus connections to the most important monuments. You are staying in the centre, but it feels like living in a small 1900s village. Nearby, a few metres away, you can enjoy 3 of Rome’s best restaurants, pastries, and bars.
What makes this Apartment unique
Tastefully furnished but in an efficient and cosy way, very bright, with a queen-size bed, and if needed a futon sofa-bed. A quiet neighbourhood surrounded by green and the outdoor markets of Roma’s centre. You will find everything you need for the toilet and the kitchen in the house.
Pool / Spa

A true gem - hidden off the beaten tourist path.
This property is a hidden gem! We loved the quiet street, the charming, private garden and tastefully decorated apartment. The kitchen was well stocked and we especially enjoyed the espresso coffee maker allowing for a cup of delicious espresso before we headed out the door. We choose to use public transportation and Patrizia had all the details about how to use making it very easy to for us to understand and take advantage of. The November weather was spectacular which allowed us to lounge in the garden, sip wine and snack on cheese and fruit purchased at the market just around the corner. We got lucky there wasn't any rain. Patricia's offer of car and driver for airport pickup and return was among the best decisions we made. Very professional drivers, clean cars and very prompt. Well worth the 40 Euro per trip. Patricia's homemade Limoncello was delicious! There were many restaurants and bars in the neighborhood to choose from for our meals. We loved every minute of our week and highly recommend this property to anyone who wishes to have privacy and experience the Italian life.
we are happy when our guests are happy. gianicolo garden is not big, but it is a place with the charm of ancient Rome, a green oasis in the center of Rome. come back and see us soon!
Quiet place with lovely garden
We had a lovely stay in Patrizia's apartment. The location was perfect in a quiet residential area and within walking distance to Rome's sights. We enjoyed the lovely rose garden and the neighborhood restaurants and delicious ice cream. Patrizia was very friendly and helpful. We recommend Gianicolo Garden and hope to come again another time.
dear guest i am very happy when our guest enjoy Rome and gianicolo Garden.
thankyou for your kindness
This was the perfect base to explore Rome. As first time visitors we had little idea about the practicalities and Patrizia was very helpful indeed whether it was arranging taxi transfers to and from the airport or recommending super places to visit. Communication with her both before and during the visit was easy and pleasant. She's a really warm and welcoming host.
The location of the apartment means that it is fair walking distance from the centre but also well served with bus and tram services which are very reasonable in cost and regular. The area is quiet, which was nice, but also had all you might need close by - a small supermarket, restaurants and bars, a street market and cashpoint within about 10 minutes' walk.
The accommodation is comfortable, well equipped and very clean and we were delighted to see the first of Patrizia's roses come into bloom in what will be a stunning floral season in the little courtyard set aside for guests' use.
We wish we'd had longer than a week; we didn't have enough time in the apartment because Rome has SO much to offer.
Advice to travellers... get a really detailed bus/tram/metro map. Travel is cheap at 1.5 Euro for 90 minutes travel - you can get to most of Rome in that time and it's fun!
I am happy to have you like guest
Quaint, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable with a beautiful outdoor space!
My husband and I spent 6 days in this beautiful little apartment. It has a well equipped kitchen and plenty of storage in the bedroom. The area is residential, and provides a quiet reprieve from a busy day sightseeing! We loved being so close to Trastavere with it’s great restaurants and shopping and the 200 steps down and up was needed exercise after all the gelato and pasta we ate! The apt is also in a nice neighborhood with its own good restaurants, shops and close to the train. Patrizia was immediately available for our needs but gave us our privacy. Wonderful experience!
Thankyou very much for your words. I am happy to have you as guest. Patrizia
Lovely place to stay. Quiet, enclosed garden which is nice and shady.
The apartment was small, but perfect for our stay. No air con, but the ceiling fan in the bedroom/living room was very effective. The bed settee was a bit hard for more than a couple of nights' sleep.
Perfect for couple in cooler months
Wonderful location in a neighborhood, Testevere area of Rome. A grocery store a block away. A taxi stand 3 blocks away. Bus stops, train station within walking distance. Kitchen with microwave, nexpresso, cooktop, refrigerator, dishes, table and chairs for 2, and an 1-2 outfit clothes washer. Bedroom with ceiling fan (no AC), comfortable double bed, sitting bench converted to flat sleeping area for teenager, desk and a TV we didn't use. Private garden area with seating, table and shade. Private gated entrance.
Patrizia was gracious in contacting us prior to arrival, helping us arrange a private transfer from FCO airport, meeting us at the taxi, walking us through the property, and making herself available if needed by text. Price was exclusive of occupancy tax paid in cash.
We stayed three days, taking in as much as possible of Rome and enjoyed our stay in at this wonderfully located property.
Thankyou . We try to do our best every time . I am sorry that your holiday in rome was during The warmest days of the last 20 years!
Buona vacanza in italia .ciao
Historical neighbourhood in the centre of Roma. By bus or on foot you easily reach Trastevere, Gianicolo, St.Peter's, the Coliseum, Piazza Venezia, the centre of Roma, and much more within minutes. The shops and restaurants are a few metres away. The accommodation is located very close to the Porta Portese market and two beautiful parks, and not too far from the railway station and Trastevere either.
