Newly renovated and clean studio in Waikiki for two

Walk to Waikiki beach, convention center, Ala Moana mall, restaurants, shops and many other Waikiki attractions in this newly renovated unit with a queen bed, full bath and kitchenette.

The building offers a pool, Jacuzzi, large sun deck, barbecue grills, gym (one time $5 per guest usage fee), coin laundry, wifi, café and pub.

Attached covered parking available at rate of $40/per 24 hours with in & out privileges. They take cash only. If you are staying past 5 days, please ask me about cheaper parking options.

Luggage storage service provided by our security office on the lower lobby level for $5 per bag.

There is 24 hour building security.

The view includes ocean, Diamond Head, canal, city and mountain range.

Smart cars rental is on the premises and other car, scooter and bike rentals companies are nearby within few minutes walking distance.

Cleanliness standards not the same for everyone ...
Although everything worked, this unit is In great need of renovations. I was given the wrong PW in the email for the Wi-Fi; luckily, the router had the RIGHT PW on it ... Very sticky (dirty) floor; sand was swept to the corners in the bathroom; only 3 facecloths and bath towels for a 9 night stay in the Hawaiian heat. No dining room table to have your meals but a tiny coffee table around 18 inch round between 2 chairs. No dresser to put your clothes in. Boogers and what looked like blood and s*** stains on the walls in the kitchen and bathroom. Slow draining bathtub/shower. You need strong arms to pull the faucet in that shower. It was a nightmare to retrieve mail that I had sent to me with instructions on how to do it from the unit owner. The mail was delivered to his mailbox but nobody had the key for this mailbox and the mailbox was not checked. I had to wait with security for the mailman to show up (hours of wait) so that I could ask him to retrieve my mail from the owner's mailbox. Note that security is not hired by the unit owner and that they have nothing to do with condo units. Security is for the Monarch guests not the condo unit tenants. With a ghost of an owner, I had to rely on security more times than I wished I had to and they did all they could without being paid for their services. The only positive is that the bed was very comfortable. I would not stay in that unit nor would I rent units again from this absent owner.

The security is non existent. Our room was broken into with a key and that a prior guest had saved. The owner admitted that he doesn’t scrub the key cards from guest to guest. Absolutely terrible situation and extremely dangerous. Will never stay here again and urge others to be careful.

We want to ensure that our guests have the best experience when renting our units. Therefore, we run the whole operation ourselves. I handle all reservation requests and communications while my wife handles the cleaning and room preparation. Hence, you see frequent reviews that mention how clean the room is.

Why they chose this property

This property is at the entrance of Waikiki and represents a gateway to the rest of Honolulu. Many attractions are within walking distance and there is bike, scooter and car rental nearby. We bought this place so we could spend time in Waikiki with all the visitors that come to our beautiful island.

What makes this property unique

This unit is budget friendly with the feel of higher end hotel rooms. View is magnificent with ocean, canal, city and mountain range views.

My wife and I handle all the operations with the rental. I manage the booking through VRBO and other sites and my wife does the cleaning and prepping of the rooms to ensure everything is done to our standards and our guests receive the best value possible.
