Prasino is a comfortable cottage for 4 people and possibly expand to 6 people. The house stands on a plot of 500 sqm. The house has two bedrooms: one double and one with bunk beds. Both rooms have a wardrobe. It also has a living room, containing a dining table, sofa and a bookcase. In the living room, it is also possible to add two beds. Furthermore, the cottage has a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower.
All rooms are equipped with shutters and screens to keep out heat and pests. The house has air conditioning in both bedrooms. At the front of the house is a large covered terrace, beneath a large dining table for eight. From the terrace to the side of the house you have a magnificent view of Mount Ainos. In early spring it is sheep herds along. On this terrace is also an outdoor shower. For the covered terrace is a large garden with almond, walnut and lemon trees. There are also to be found anywhere herbs such as thyme, rosemary, wild oregano and bay leaves.
On the grounds is yet another holiday in the Dutch summer holidays are here other guests. However, the garden, porch and patio provide maximum privacy.
The house is a fine base for exploring the beautiful green island. You have the choice to look up the crowds. In the evening you will return in the rest of the house. What else is there?

Especially to our cottage is situated in a Greek village just outside the popular tourist area. It is wonderful in the evening to sit on the terrace and enjoy the peace and the stars. It is an ideal base for hiking. It lies on the edge of the village Mavrata and if you walk up the dirt road you are three minutes in the village. There you turn right at the local butcher, with a genuine curiosity shop. In summer you can eat a simple meal on the terrace with him.
About 10 minutes walk from a grill restaurant, which is open all year. You can get great food for little money. Even out of season you can find in the restaurant the authentic atmosphere of the local Greeks.
You can make beautiful bike rides in the interior of Kefalonia.
Katelios (translated: 'under the olive trees)
Katelios is the nearest beach town. By car you are in 5 minutes. It consists of an upper part ano Katelios and a lower part right on the coast, Kato Katelios. In the valley of Katelios are several pools that can be completely free to use. There is also a number of supermarkets and of course a wide range of restaurants. Kaminia name comes from the brick ovens that once stood here. Paralia Kaminia is a wide sandy beach stretching from Katelios to Skala. The turtles lay their eggs there.
