Our home is set in a large landscaped plot overlooking and leading onto the River Camel. It is nestled in a protected valley with lush mature woodland all around and gives a great sense of privacy and a degree of remoteness but with the added benefit of being a very short walk to all the shops, pubs and eateries.
The property has landscaped and well cared for gardens of approximately 1 acre with garden seating, a natural fire-pit, and log chairs. Sit by a fire, watching and listening to the River Camel flow by. Alternately enjoy our massive balcony that overlooks the valley and the river, and has a huge BBQ and overhead retractable awnings - perfect for group get-togethers and social events.
Reflections is an upside down property with the majority of the bedrooms on the lower floor. The property sleeps 10-12 people perfectly with 5 bedrooms providing the ability to sleep up to 13 people with a second lounge that can also be converted into a bedroom to sleep a further 2 if required. One of these bedrooms is en-suite and one is equipped with a large heated state of the art waterbed. It is worth noting that although a large property Reflections has worked brilliantly for just one family at a time - the extra Lounge allowing children or teenagers to do their own thing and leave the parents the other side of the house.
All of our linen is 100% Egyptian cotton and a professional cleaning and laundry team ensure that the house is in perfect condition for each arrival. We have focused on making everything about Reflections the perfect blend between a holiday-let and a hotel. This includes a coffee machine, Bang & Olufsen entertainment systems, and hot tub.
The entire first floor of Reflections is wheelchair accessible including an upstairs bedroom as well as the kitchen, dining room, lounge, outdoor terrace and custom built, Doc-M spec'd shower room.
The property is equipped with a large, modern kitchen with high end appliances and coffee machine and dining room as well as 2 bathrooms, a large lounge with log burner and Bang + Olufsen sound system and a large DVD library, a large terrace overlooking The River Camel with ample seating and BBQ and an extended section of the house known as 'The West Wing' which contains a further lounge area and Hot Tub. A small gym, utility area and store for complimentary beach equipment (Wet suits / Body boards / Snorkeling equipment etc.) can be found in an adjacent outbuilding and is free for our guests to use.
We have onsite parking for up to 6 vehicles and we are an environmentally aware property, provide recycling bins for our guests to use and the majority of our electricity is provided by solar power.
The small historic market town of Camelford is a brief 5 minute stroll from the house and has multiple bars, restaurants and shops. The house is just a short drive from some of the best beaches and tourist attractions that North Cornwall has to offer - including world-class golf courses.
