Real nice property for family close to coast and snowdonia. Short drive to Portmeirion and Anglesy.
Hosts are very nice and keen to support in any way possible. Even saying goodbye was very special as we received a " klavertje vier".
Immaculate property, the description and photos were spot on. Very well equipped and comfortable, we especially liked the small snug within the living room which we could retreat to as we traveled with our daughter, son in law and 2 small grandchildren. Stuart and Amanda were so helpful and kind, many thanks for the warm welcome. The beach was lovely, very close although quite a steep short walk back up for us older bodies - the youngsters soon nipped to and fro. the weather wasn't brilliant but we managed the beach everyday, the 3 +1 year old were fine in their wet suits. The takeaway from the nearby Indian restaurant was good and the local shop and Spar were very well stocked. We arranged a Tesco delivery for our arrival which was useful. Our car didn't move all week, I'm sure there were lots of lovely places nearby but quite frankly we were so comfortable in the house and we so enjoyed the beach with the children that we felt no need to go anywhere else!
About the area
Beach - 2 minutes: Right out of the main gate, 1st right, pass the entrance to the Cliff Path, then down the hill to the beach. The Cliff Path is part of the 870 mile Wales Coast Path with spectacular scenery, sandy beaches, rocky coves and as much history as there are pebbles. Nefyn Beach is of soft golden sand, safe for play and home to traditional beach huts in summer. Sailing and fishing aways popular as is our annual mackerel race in August. Scores of other beaches and coves to explore nearby.
Famous Morfa Nefyn Golf course with its breathtaking location favoured by the hardiest players for a bracing cliff top game!
