Spacious apartment, great Meadfoot Beach location in walking distance of Torquay

**As of Autumn 2016, Kilmorie Studio (now called Kilmorie Lodge) will have completed renovation works to transform into a one-bedroom 'upside down' house with yet more breathtaking views over the South Devon coast! Pictures and further Information to follow!**

Perfectly located on the doorstep of the wonderful natural scenery of the South west Devon coast and the selection of amenities and attractions of the vibrant coastal resort town of Torquay, this lovely spacious holiday home provides the perfect romantic escape!

The spacious open plan living area enjoys double aspect garden views from its pair of French doors and features solid wood flooring and fine antique furniture for a touch of refinement and comfort.

Guests can enjoy relaxing on the comfortable pair of sofas which face the sunny cottage garden and provide the perfect place to unwind with a good book or to enjoy a movie on the large 40” flat screen LCD TV with DVD player.

Other modern touches to this elegant holiday home include Wi-Fi access and a fully fitted and exceptionally spacious kitchen, which is fitted with all the desired cooking appliances including an electric hob, oven and dishwasher.

The French doors lead out to the pretty sunny garden which is planted with beautiful plants to suit the mild and sunny Torquay climate, with Azaleas and palm trees. Alfresco dining can also be enjoyed out on the pretty terrace, as well as inside at the more formal dining area.

The open plan living area further features a garden view sleeping area perfect for couples with a beautiful solid wood 5ft period double bed with bedside tables, mirror and wardrobe.

A modern fitted bathroom with power shower and also a washing machine also feature to this delightful and exceptionally spacious studio style holiday home.

From the property the 22 mile of glorious South Devon coastline is easily accessible from the nearby South West coastal path. Guests can enjoy exploring and marvelling over the dramatic heritage shore with its beaches, woodland trails and picturesque seaside towns including Dartmouth and Salcombe.

The vibrant seaside resort town of Torquay with its wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops and presented to visitors in a picturesque Victorian era resort with palm-lined promenade, pleasure grounds and grand sweeping Regency crescents with harbour walks and local visitor attractions provides the ideal place from which to explore the breath taking surrounding area and coastline, which still provides the perfect holiday escape today.

Torquay's waterfront is the focus of life in the town. Here you'll find the palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina. The new Living Coasts attraction adds to the variety of the new waterfront and the illuminated bridge is a great backdrop to a relaxing evening drink. Yet within minutes of Torquay town centre there are beautiful beaches easily accessible by foot, road or sea.

There is an abundance of pavement cafes, Torquay pubs, Torquay restaurants and nightlife in Torquay, good quality shops and a host of attractions to suit every interest.

The English Riviera is a resort in the truest sense of the word, attracting visitors of all ages and interests throughout the year. Undergoing a water front regeneration and a number of new attractions in Torquay and accommodation schemes, Torquay has something for everyone and for all ages, at all times of the year.

Torquay has been one of the UK 's top holiday destinations since Victorian Times when the gentry promenaded, bathing huts were wheeled down to the beaches and anyone who was anyone had an attractive villa overlooking the sea.

It was the Victorians who first used the English Riviera name to describe their favourite resort and their legacy remains to this day with sparkling white villas perched on the verdant hilltops, beautiful gardens around the seafront and elegant Victorian facades along the main streets.

Don't be fooled by the Victorian ancestry however, Torquay is also a vibrant and forward thinking resort attracting visitors of all interests, from Art and Culture afficionados to marine enthusiasts.

Torquay's famous seven hills provide the backdrop to a waterfront scene that matches anything you'll find on the French Riviera.

The heart of the famous resort town of Torquay is also easily accessible, and offers a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops to enjoy, as well as the seaside town’s most popular family-friendly visitor attractions, which include Living Coasts Sea Life Centre, Torquay’s Dinosaur World and its breathtaking marina and splendid Victoriana pleasure gardens.

Nearby guests can also enjoy the picturesque Cockington Country Park, the popular Paignton Zoo, the many fine Golf Clubs and the geographical wonder that is Kents Cavern. The Torquay coast also offers a wide range of sport activities to enjoy from sailing, surfing, fishing to golf, canoeing and horse riding.

Several of our beaches hold coveted awards for cleanliness and water quality. Torbay is a naturally sheltered bay, creating a safe haven for ships of all shapes and sizes in stormy weather. Occasional easterly winds create our own winter storms however and this is when beachcombers make their best finds. Keep an eye on the Torquay weather page.

Review by Ann, Alan, Elliott, Christie and Hugo from Stoke- on- Trent: "Well here we are at the end of yet another fantastic holiday in this great studio. Love love loved every minute of minute of it and its relaxing view to die for, weather good just perfect for our dogs, Hugo’s first holiday and he loved it. Just six weeks to wait till we will be back in our holiday home. Loved seeing you Robin, take care of this garden it could be so lovely. Alan and I really didn’t want to leave."

Guestbook comments from the manager

I would highly recommend Kilmorie Studio for its beautiful location,

and well equipped Studio. For those who enjoy walking this is ideal as the distance to walk, from the Studio to the centre of Torquay is around 1.7miles and its

quite steep but so well worth it to see the spectacular views.

We would definitely choose this one again.

Golf :-

Torquay:-

There are several Golf Clubs in the area, the nearest one being Torquay Golf Club - Petitor Road, St Marychurch,Torquay, Devon TQ1 4QF

Torquay Golf Club is an extremely popular venue for visitors and societies alike - due to the excellent service and friendly welcome provided. It is a delightful parkland course with stunning views over Lyme Bay to the east and Dartmoor to the west.

Torquay makes a great short break for Golfers in both summer and winter. When many other courses are snowbound or unplayable the clement Torbay weather ensures that a full 18 holes can be completed!

Other Golf Clubs in the area include:

Churston Golf Club, Dartmouth Road, Churston Ferrers, Brixham TQ5 0LA

Churston Golf Club’s biggest asset is the course itself. Not only is the 18 holes laid out and presented in a fashion that is always pleasing on the eye, Mother Nature has ensured that the sub strata of shillet and shale are perfect for golf course drainage. This excellent drainage allows for play 365 days a year and the warm climate means the surfaces of the greens are in tip top condition 12 months of the year unlike so many other courses.
