We travel to St. John often and have stayed in various villas. Although Azul has three bedrooms to accommodate six guests, be advised of the small living/dining area if traveling with six people. I feel that the listing should also include a picture of the main living area to show that the villa is not as spacious as you might want. For brevity, I listed the pros and cons of Azul.
Pros:
- Location. Very close to the north shore beaches.
- Easy check in and communication with property mgt.
- Private location
Cons:
- Twice during our one-week stay were awakened at 7:45 am by loud gas-powered leaf blowers blowing off the pool area.
- One morning the exterminator showed up walking around the property. Thankfully we were dressed...
- There is next to no water pressure and no temperature control in the main bedroom shower. It's either hot or off. I understand water conservation in St. John but the pressure was dismal. If you stayed in the shower longer than a few minutes, the water became too hot to use.
- The air conditioner's auto feature is not working. It's either on or off so you have to monitor it when it's on.
- Very limited kitchenware. There are only pots and skillets. No baking dishes or cookie/baking pans. Some places have basic spices. Not here, not even salt and pepper.
- There is a blender if you want frozen drinks but no other barware.
- Small living area with kitchen, couch, and dining for 4. The only seating is a couch that seats 4 or 5.
