Cozy cabin in a beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

We booked 3 nights over the weekend. The cabin was a perfect fit for the 3 in our party (would’ve been just as good with 2 more guests). Brenda was a great hostess. She was very responsive and directions to get there and rules of the house we’re clear. DuPont State Forest is literally 5-7 minutes down the hill. This location provided a perfect spot almost in the state forest for us to get in early morning hikes to the amazing waterfalls and easy access to the awesome mountain bike / hiking trails (Ridgeline trail is an awesome downhill run on the bike btw). Brevard is about 30 minutes away and has a charming downtown restaurant and shopping scene, grocery (Ingles and Food Lion), gas and anything else you need. We went twice for grocery and dinner/gas.

Pros: Location in the forest, secluded / quiet, everything you need is in the cabin, great front porch and surrounding property, WiFi at the cabin was very good (good enough to stream movies on a laptop)

Cons: There’s a little bit of a hill to get up to get there. Our minivan made it okay but recommend keeping up your speed (running start)...no cell service on Verizon or ATT on the property or in the state forest...but is that really a con :)?...WiFi did great though with messaging / voice calls when at the cabin.

We highly recommend booking this property when visiting this area!!

Great place

  • 5 of 5

This is really a great place to stay. It is very private, and our kids loved it. There are falls within miles of the cabin. We will be back.

Beautiful property, well maintained cabin

  • 5 of 5

Two friends and I stayed at the cabin for a week and we were very impressed. The pictures do it justice, it's a well kept and good looking cabin that has a good amount of kitchen supplies for home cooking, well furnished bedrooms and living room, as well as good internet and a grill. The property is secluded and well kept, and is very close to Dupont forest hiking trails. I'd highly recommend this to anybody looking for a mountain getaway!

Very quiet and peaceful.

  • 5 of 5

The place was just what we needed. Drink coffee on front porch and watch the trout jump in the pond was so relaxing. Went to see the falls right down the rd. Caught trout out of pond very exciting. We really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

If you’re looking for a quite place to get away from the world and relax, this is your cabin! It’s tucked away in the mountains and is beautiful!

The cabin is well kept and it was very clean when we arrived! The front porch and rocking chairs give it that home away from home feeling.

Go ahead and book your stay, you will not regret it!!
