About Mrs Jeannie Long

I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland but gained my professional teaching qualifications in England. We currently live in Hastings, East Sussex but since retirement, travel frequently in Europe including time in Meze......the gem of the south.

Why Mrs Jeannie Long chose Mèze

Meze is a very French little town with beautiful shops and restaurants. We really enjoy the local markets, the safe bike paths, the local bird-watching opportunities and the friendliness of the local people. The sea is very safe and supervised during the summer season. We all enjoy the easy walk to the water and the joy of all the water activities on offer. We especially like snorkelling and have spotted many fish, sea horses and pipe fish.

What makes this apartment unique

The area has much to offer. Montpellier and Sete are cities within easy reach of Meze. Enjoy the art galleries and old areas of Pezenas. Transport to all of these places is available. A car is not really necessary. The apartment terrace is very large with wonderful views across the water...relaxing outdoor living. Excellent Wi-Fi....enchanting old town, free parking and easy walking distance to the harbour, shops, markets and beach.

A very comfortable and well equipped apartment in a gated community with superb views across the water to Sete.

The four of us stayed there with our 2 small children

The beach was very clean and the sea completely safe. The balcony was huge and our toddlers could play safely outdoors. We liked the gardens and walking round the harbour and Old Town.

The apartment was immaculate and very well equipped.

The apartment was brilliant with everything there that we could possibly need.. Fantastic location next to the beach looking over the Etang de Thau and so close to the centre of Meze.

Brooders “First trip to Meze”

The apartment is extremely well situated adjacent to the beach and only three hundred yards from the port with its lovely choice of “value for money” restaurants.

The apartment itself provides everything you want for a relaxing time in a very French, charming town.

Ideally located, you can walk to everywhere!

Everything was clean and fresh, loved sitting on the balcony in the evening, stars and the sound of the sea!

We loved it and will be going again!

Have just returned from a lovely two week break in this fabulous apartment. Firstly the position is great, a lovely view from the very spacious terrace across to the beach. It was lovely having the air conditioning which worked very well and wasn't at all noisy. We had peace of mind leaving the car parked in the underground garage. It was only a ten minute walk to the supermarket which was well stocked and reasonably priced and they have a petrol station which seemed to have the cheapest fuel. The restaurant next door to the apartment provided us with great coffee and fresh croissants each morning. The numerous restaurants around the port served good food and were also reasonably priced. The trip on the catamaran was most enjoyable. There is a charming market twice weekly in the old part of town with everything you could wish for. All in all we loved Meze for being typically French, unspoilt and uncommercial used. We will definately be staying here again. The apartment was all we expected and more. It was spacious, clean and well maintained and we can't wait to return.

Owner's Response: There are many water sports to be enjoyed within easy walking distance of my beachside apartment. Try snorkelling and spot sea horses and pipe fish.

Superb Apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Meze and found this apartment to be very well equipped, clean and very spacious. The quiet and efficient air conditioning was much appreciated as was the excellent wifi. It is very well situated, just a few steps from the sea and the harbour with all its wonderful restaurants. The spacious terrace with seaviews was particularly appreciated. We were blessed with glorious sunshine every day and managed to explore a number of the towns and villages around the lake, eating far too much seafood! Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Owner's Response: Meze is certainly well placed to explore the Languedoc region. Cyclists are also well catered for with miles of safe routes to enjoy the surrounding countryside.

A great place to stay in Meze!

On our various trips to the south of France we have stayed in some good accommodations and some not-so-good. We found this condo in Meze on our 2013 trip. It is a great condo, and a great value as well. Situated on the ground floor of a relatively new, modern gated facility it is very spacious, clean and well kept. It comes with all the amenities we look for to make ourselves feel right at home when we travel, and the huge deck was a real bonus. Located within easy walking distance to everything from beaches to markets to shopping to be wonderful little inner harbour restaurants meant that we could leave the car in the secured parking lot for days at a time. Arranging the rental with the owner was quick and easy, and the local key holder was

professional and always accessible for questions. We have confidently recommended the condo to friends traveling in the area. Will we go back???.....absolutely, in fact we have already booked our next stay for the spring of 2015.

très belle appartement et sécurise et au calme

quelques vaisselles est a remplacer (grille pain et pas de percolateur)et un bon nettoyage du four serait nécessaire.voir aussi l état du surtout il n y a pas d horloge dans l appartement.tout cela a titre d indicatif pour le confort des locataires

Guests will be met by my key holder. He will make your stay as comfortable as possible and answer any questions about the local area and amenities. Long term rental rates are negotiable. September is charges at 500 euros per week if not part of a longer low season rental. A security deposit may be required upon arrival payable by cheque or cash and refunded at the end of your stay by my key holder if not already sent to me (owner) on the return of the rental agreement.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
