On the first floor and second (top) floor of a typical Haarlem house from 1906, within 7 minutes walk from the station and the town center, you can find these apartments.
Apartment nr. 1 : on the first floor a spacious, bright apartment, consisting of a large living room with adjoining room + sofa bed for 2 extra people, a double bedroom (160), beautiful kitchen, bathroom / toilet and a small balcony. The apartment goes with all comforts, including free wifi. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, dishwasher, microwave / oven and washing machine. There are two bicycles at your disposal as well.
Apartment nr 2; on the second or topfloor; living with kitchen, 2 bedrooms ( one bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with 2 single beds who can be put together as a double bed as well) and bathroom. Also this apartment goes with all comforts, including free wifi, and washing machine. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, dishwasher, microwave and oven. There are two bicycles at your disposal as well.
The apartments are located in a quiet street with around the corner all kinds of little shops, food and non food. A supermarket is nearby too.
From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. free parking. A parking disc is available for the remaining hours which is to be rotated every three hours. There are free parking lots within 5 minutes walking distance where no disk is needed.
As this is a typical old dutch house, the stairs are quite steep. Handrails on both sides for extra security.
The apartment is just what you need - a good size, well-equipped, cosy in the winter. The bikes are really handy. The area is lovely with a great baker nearby and a cheese shop at the end of the road. It's an easy walk or cycle into town. There's a good restaurant nearby too called Vandesande.
We stayed for 4 nights in this very comfortable one bedroom apartment which is situated in a quiet residential street. MThe apartment is well maintained and tastefully furnished. The description is accurate and Kiki the owner responds very quickly to any enquiry. I would certainly recommend the apartment and Haarlem for either a short break or a longer stay.
We stayed a week in this lovely apartment. It's a light, spacious, warm and so well equipped apartment. Perfect location just a short walk, ride or bus to Haarlem's old centre, with excellent local shops including a magnificent cheese shop. Kiki was so welcoming with information and really great advice.
We (family 2+2) spent 5 days in this apartment. It is in very good localization – center of Haarlem, close to National Park, seaside and close to Amsterdam . We visited Amsterdam using P+R parking what is very convenient, national park with beautiful dunes landscapes (it is great place for someone who likes walking and / or bike, beach and center of Haarlem. Apartment is very good equipped (as described). Owner is very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our short family vacation in this place!
Our three week stay at Kiki's spacious one bedroom apartment was just great. Pristinely clean, well appointed, all the kitchen ware that you ever need, very comfortable bed, gas cooking, meat & cheese & wine & fruit & vegetables & bakery stores within a two minute walk. What more do you need? We cooked in every day. Train and buses only a short ten minute walk. Plus, Kiki, our host, was such a charming lady. We loved our stay and would definitely return. Plus, Haarlem is a beautiful city.. Go there and do stay with Kiki.
We stayed for 4 nights in September 2015 and had a really great time. The apartment is excellent, modern, clean and as described. There is free parking in front of the building from 9pm-9am, and during the day in another area at 7-10 minutes’ walk.
If you have car you can use park and ride around Amsterdam (Sloterdijk, Bos en Lommer…) park your car in the parking lot and take the tram to Amsterdam center (6 euros). The appliances are all new and in good working condition. The balcony is a bonus for both day and evening. The apartment location is perfect, close to everything, restaurants, little shops, supermarket at 5-7 minutes. Free bikes to ride.
Kiki is an amazing guest! She was extremely nice, providing us with a lot of information and suggestions about the area.
We will come back at anytime and recommend this place to all our friends and relatives.
Thanks Gabriela and Dan
A lovely place to stay with lots of features. To the beach or cycling through the dunes. Strolling through the city, which has been chosen to best shopping city of the Netherlands. A beautiful historic centre with the Market with the Bavo, Frans Hals museum, Teylers museum, canals etc. Not to mention many cosy terraces and dining options. Amsterdam is only 15 min by train. For years, Haarlem has been called ' klein Amsterdam ', but nowadays Amsterdam is called ' large Haarlem '
