This beautiful 4-bedroom holiday home is set in an acre of private, well-maintained gardens, with its own heated swimming pool (May-Sep).

Nestled on the edge of the idyllic village of East Dean, the gateway to the South Downs National Park and just three miles from Eastbourne, this relaxing retreat can sleep seven in full-sized beds, with space for two extra children in Z beds (supplement applies) or babies in travel cots (we can provide these).

Downstairs there is a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast table and chairs, a utility room with washing machine, and a downstairs toilet with washbasin. There is a separate dining room, conservatory, sun room and a spacious lounge with large flatscreen television and plenty of comfy seating - so you're never short of a cosy nook to while away a few hours with a good book or game.

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (one ensuite), a twin bedroom, a single room (with shower) and a family bathroom. Full of charm and character, featuring a log fire for the perfect winter get-away!

We had a fabulous week at The Spinney. The house and grounds are stunning. The beds and bed linen luxurious. The pool warm and inviting. The BBQ a triumph. Spacious and comfy rooms. Splendid dining room. Close to many great towns, villages, walks, beaches and pubs.

All three generations of our family group would recommend a stay at the Spinney.

lovely house with lot's of character

The house is beautiful and full of charm and lot's of lovely features inside.

The gardens are like a small park,my five grandchildren had amazing time playing football and running around.

The pool was a little on the chilly side would have been better if a bit warmer, we had couple of non-swimmers which made it difficult for them to stay warm,but the older love it.

Really great that we could take our little rescue dog as he doesn't like kennels.

We loved east dean with local coffee shops and park and had lovely meals at the tiger Inn and beachy head hotel.

Amazing walks around the area very such beautiful surroundings. Walked to Birling Gap .

It's a shame that the building in the garden couldn't be used would make amazing place for the children to play,the gardens were lovely and safe for the children to play in.

We booked this hoilday to make memories for our family due to my husband being diagnose with Alzheimers a couple of year ago and we wanted to spend time together as a family.

I would love to stay again next year if it's possible

The idyllic village of East Dean is the gateway to The South Downs National Park, adjacent to Beachy Head, Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters.

It is a fantastic location for walkers, cyclists and holidaymakers seeking a relaxed location set in beautiful countryside. The nearest beach is at Birling Gap, just one mile away, while Eastbourne town centre is just a couple of miles drive.

Steeped in history, with strong Saxon and Norman influences, the flint church and cricket green, with its regular open-air market, offer quintessentially English treats. There is a great pub on the green which people visit from miles around – The Tiger Inn serves up tasty lunches and evening meals and you can enjoy your meal overlooking the green when the sun is shining. Or if you feel like something more exotic, there’s also the fabulous Thai Terre restaurant on the green.

East Dean has a small selection of village shops, including a post office, hairdressers, grocery store, delicatessen and an award-winning butcher, as well as a doctor’s surgery.
