5th floor of a building of 5 heights. Elevator. Very bright and quiet.
The Temple of Debod is a cheerful corner, colorful, quiet and safe, considered among the best residential areas of central Madrid, due to its extensive green spaces, very bright, full of life of locals and tourists, near the historical, cultural and shops in Madrid (Plaza Spain, Gran Vía, Palacio Real, Catedral, Plaza Mayor, Liria Palace of the Dukes of Alba, etc.)
It includes: bedding, towels, hygiene products (gel, shampoo, toilet paper), cleaning, washing clothes (detergent, softener, delicates), cooking (spices, oil, ...), paper (kitchen rolls, napkins, transparent, aluminum), Nespresso cartridges (strong, mild and decaffeinated) and various teas.
The apartment is a perfect square, with a master bedroom with double bed (1.40 x 2 m), and another room with twin beds (90 x 2 m) and a sofa bed type cheslong (1.40 x 2 m ) in the classroom. All new, purchased in 2015: beds, mattresses, sofa beds, cabinets, dressers, nightstands and auxiliary lamps, chairs, linens, cutlery, crockery, LCD 40 'TV, iron, Nespresso coffee maker, hair dryer, umbrella stand (with umbrella), pictures, mirrors, etc.
Kitchen (with double glazing, very bright) fully equipped: fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, Nespresso machine with complimentary cartridges, extractor fan, hob, juicer, blender, raclette, kettle, thermos, toasters, pans, pots, kitchen helpers, iron and ironing board, etc.
Bathroom (hairdryer) with window. Very bright.

Collection of illustrated books about Madrid and Spain: history, geography, decor, architecture, etc.

I was in Madrid on business and it was great to come "home" every night! The location was fantastic. I was able to walk around the park and walk to SOL. The metro station was also close by. The apartment was very comfortable and had all the amenities I needed to cook good meals.
Really enjoyed my stay.
I planned my vacation in Madrid, Spain and it's surroundings, along with two additional family members/travel companions, during the first week of November, 2016 (after a 23-year hiatus) & decided to opt out of the traditional hotel reservations process & instead use the Homeaway platform for my lodging needs, mainly to experience a more local vibe & away from areas more popular among tourists. In summation: it was the best decision I made and highly recommend it. It gives the "immersion into the local culture" a completely new meaning, in a very positive sense.
I reserved the apartment earlier in the year as I planned my entire vacation in Spain (spent some time in Andalucia prior to my arrival in Madrid) & communicated with the hosts, José Luis and Pilar, several times via Homeway as well as with "Whatsapp" on several topics from lodging-specific (i.e. ammenities), proximity to public transportation/city center, & dining options in the area. Not only did the hosts provide (by the way, in a very timely fashion) the answers to all of my questions, they also generously made several recommendations on places to visit & restaurants to dine in. On the day of arrival (from one of the major train stations as I was coming from the south of Spain), José Luis was present & on the lookout as he greeted my travel companions & I outside the apartment approximately a block away just to make sure that we were O.K. & whether we needed any help carrying our luggage (again, wanted to experience the use of the metro system). We arrived shortly after at the apartment & as I was settling in, José Luis sat with me to go over all of the fine details of our stay - access to WIFI (very important), use of appliances, folder with extensive list of goods & service providers (markets, restaurants, pharmacy, clinic, etc.). The apartment itself was very clean & accommodating to our needs - located on the 5th floor of the building & with an elevator/lift. The building is located in a very quite neighborhood, surrounded by plentiful dining choices & steps away from the beautiful "Parque del Oeste" (very important to me since I like run in the mornings).
In summary, the apartment was perfect for me & my travel companions; more importantly, the host went above all of my expectations. José Luis is a gentleman & simply a Class A individual. I highly recommend this place & host for anyone planning to spend some time in Madrid. I surely will be back. ¡¡Gracias José Luis y Pilar!!
This is a perfect, cozy apartment in a quiet building literally steps away from a bustling boulevard dotted with restaurants, bars and cafes. Across the boulevard is a beautiful park for walking and jogging. Seriously, you'll have trouble leaving the neighborhood to see the rest of Madrid (but you must), it's easy to get around. Even Uber is available!
Jose and Pilar are wonderful hosts. Jose greeted us the night we arrived and gave us a tour of the apartment -- how everything worked, from the front entrance buzzer to the elevator, from the TV to the stove, from the washing machine to the locks on the apartment door. He even introduced us to the owner of the restaurant next door, which made for a pleasant dinner after a long day. Jose was always available by email to answer questions (he even helped us with a minor health matter that required a hospital visit). Very dependable, responsible and gracious.
The apartment is immaculate - very clean. (And if you're into cleaning, there's an easy-to-use vacuum available). It has two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with two single beds. There are drawers in both bedrooms and a small closet in the master bedroom. Plenty of hooks and hangers. Night lights by the beds.
Kitchen is fully equipped: refrigerator /freezer, cups and saucers, utensils, coffee maker (and coffee), microwave, plenty of glassware, washing machine, stove/oven, etc. We cooked at home a couple of nights but the lure of the boulevard restaurants eventually overtook us. Bathroom has a small tub and shower with good, warm water pressure. Living room/dining room combo has a TV (but never watched it). WiFi works like a charm and good to have.
We loved this apartment and spent a very happy week in it. The booking process was easy and the owners dealt promptly with any queries. On arrival, Jose Luis was waiting to welcome us as we stepped out of our taxi. He helped us with our luggage and provided us with lots of information and advice about the apartment which was exactly as described on the website: he also took time to point out the local supermarkets. The apartment was perfectly clean, comfortable, bright and well equipped with good quality towels, toiletries, coffee, washing up liquid etc. The location was perfect for us with the Parque del Oueste and bus stop at one end of the street and the many restaurants and cafes of Calle de Ferraz on the other. Our favourite restaurant was Txirimiri (the Bacalao en tempura and Atun a la plancha were delicious). The area is quiet and residential but major landmarks such as the Palacio Real, Plaza de Espana and Catedral de la Almudena are within easy walking distance. There is a pick up stop for the City tour bus just a few minutes from the apartment. We took a bus to El Escorial from the Moncloa bus station – a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Madrid is a beautiful city and we hope to re-visit someday. We would definitely stay in this lovely apartment again.
We stayed for a week during our vacation. The apartment had all the things you need, just like home. The location is good, 10 minute walk to the metro. We would recommend this flat to our friends!
This is our first time as a family staying in Madrid. Jose Luis was waiting for us near the apartment and showed us the apartment.
The location itself is nice for us, it is about 10 minutes walk to the nearest metro but it is right next to a Temple Debod park which is good for us since we like to run in the morning.
The apartment has two rooms which was perfect for us and 2 kids. It has all the modern convenient, from wifi, AC, coffee maker, washing machine, etc.
We will definitely stay in this apartment when we are going back to Madrid.
The area of the "Temple of Debod" is a happy and safe neighborhood, next to Park West, 5 minutes walk from the "Plaza de Spain, Palacio de Liria and Cerralbo" and another 5 minutes of "Royal Palace , Real Theatre and Almudena Cathedral. "
The property is close to shopping, theaters, shows ("Gran Via and Princess streets"), entertainment and recreation ("Parque del Oeste" cable car Rosales, "Casa de Campo", zoo and amusement park).
The area has two subway stations within 5 minutes walk ("Argüelles and Ventura Rodríguez") and 10 minutes' walk from "Spain Square" metro as well as various bus lines.
A mile (3 minutes drive) is the train station (RENFE) from "Principe Pio" transport interchange at the crossroads of several subway lines, commuter trains and buses and coaches.
