We were met by Jane on arrival who showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed, and we're even welcomed with a litlle hamper to get us going, including juice and milk, allowing us to quickly settle in. No issues during the stay and we were left to our own devices during the stay. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you, Jane, for a wonderful stay in York. This was our first visit, and it was very easy to catch the bus to all the sights nearby. The rental was very clean, and had everything we needed to make some meals in. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we're ever fortunate to come back.
This is a lovely place to stay when visiting York.
Only a short walk or bus journey into the city.
The house has everything you'd need for a break away, even has little things you didn't think you'd need from boardgames in the press and plenty of books.
Overall we'd have to highly recommend this house and we'll definitely be back
The cottage was brilliant. Jane herself was welcoming and provided everything we could think of in the cottage. From the book and games, to hand cream, washing up liquid, orange juice, milk and bread, we wanted for nothing.
The cottage was spotlessly clean. The bed linen and towel were better than expected quality. The quality of the fixtures and fittings is well above standard.
The touch a Bluetooth speaker, washer dryer, Netflix TV and Easter treats was excellent.
The leaflets and files of information about York were especially helpful.
The location of the cottage was a 20 minute walk into the city and two minutes from the main roads leading out the city to other destinations.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We had a wonderful 4 day stay in Mayfield cottage. Jane was just so helpful and sent us a lot of information regarding the cottage and York itself. The cottage was so comfortable and we could not recommend it highly enough - some of the best we have stayed in.
