Property was purchased together with our Mother and Father in 2009, we have lovingly renovated and restored our 17th century farmhouse and barn.
We are a family who all live within the Farmhouse grounds.
We are welcoming and friendly and offer comfortable and peaceful accommodation to all our guests. Rob has extensive knowledge with local walks and cycle routes. Marion is a homemaker who loves gardening and putting little personal touches in the holiday let with flowers and welcome packs. We have three children, and welcome any guests with families.
Pippa Gilkes purchased this apartment in 2009
Please read our impressive reviews that have been left from our lovely guest's in the past year.
Without doubt this was the best self-catering unit we have ever stayed in. This comment is based on the fact that we also did self-catering on our farm so tend to by ultra critical.
Everything was of the highest quality and nothing was missed. Breakfast items were provided as well as eggs , biscuits and milk.
The barn is situated in beautiful countryside.
We found the owners friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay again.
Great place to stay really easy access to surrounding area no complaints we had everything here and more we needed , would recamend this place to anyone , will be coming back
We have had many self-catering holidays in the UK, most being very good, but this was by far the best. The apartment was very spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated. It was very clean and exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The welcome pack was like nothing we have ever seen in a self-catering unit. It is very conveniently situated, not only for the Cotswolds but further afield, with easy access to the M5. Marion, Rob and Pippa were very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend the Cider Barn to anyone.
Me, my wife and two young children stayed at Cider Barn during mid-August. I have only positive things to write… the accommodation is at least as nice and spacious in real life as it appears in the pictures, Marion and her husband were very warm, welcoming and accommodating, the supply of some basic provisions on arrival (bread, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, etc) was very thoughtful, and all self-catering needs (cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, etc) provided for. The accommodation is a short drive away from Cheltenham, and serves as a good base from which to explore the Cotswolds. In summary, I would highly recommend.
This cottage is perfect, the decor is stunning and hosts are superb. They went above and beyond to provide the best stay possible for us and really made our 3 yr old feel welcome. It's in a perfect location, just minutes away from, Gloucester, Bristol, Bath, Forest of Dean and many more. We will definitely be returning as there is so much more to see. Thank you all so much. Lots of love from Anna, Nick and Ellie xxx
Had a lovely few days here in order to go to the Cheltenham Ukulele Festival. Apartment cosy, comfy and spacious for two people and very clean. Our hosts gave us a lift into Cheltenham so we did n't have to bother with the car which was great. Two lovely cats kept us company in the evenings! All in all a great place to stay. Would recommend it to friends.
