About Paul Canfield
This property has been my home since 2007. Inside and out it reminds me of my cabin in Winter WI with all of its cedar walls, trim and exterior. I love northern Wisconsin and this home makes me feel like I am there, 100 miles north. Eau Claire has been my home since elementary school and I know and love the area. For the past 22 years I have enjoyed my career in real estate as a Realtor/broker and am currently working with for Keller Williams. In the past I have been an active member with the Boy Scouts of America, Board of Realtors, City of Eau Claire planning committee, and various other volunteer opportunities. My hobbies include deer hunting, fishing, golfing and wood working. I am an avid reader, as you will see with the amount of books I have! I hope you enjoy your stay.

Fantastic Quick Getaway
Paul is a FANTASTIC host, his home is very beautiful and comfortable. We look forward to visiting again.
Quiet and serene.
This place is as advertised. A quiet serene cabin in the woods, surrounded by the city. We felt all alone in the woods and enjoyed being close to all amenities. We would definitely come back.
Romantic Valentine's Get-away
This is a charming, A-frame house/cabin tucked in the woods, yet close to the city of Eau Claire. There was a bottle of wine, wine glasses, and chocolates in a darling little tray in each bedroom. In addition, the kitchen is fully equipped, there is a hot tub in the enclosed porch area, and a gas fireplace in the lower level. The house has everything a traveler/guest could possibly need and everything is in the best of shape. The owner, Paul, is quick to respond. He suggested Johnny's Italian Steakhouse (amongst other restaurants) and he was spot on. Perfect restaurant for our Valentine's dinner. In addition, we recommend a visit to Chippewa Valley Museum (everything is well displayed and is geared for all ages) and the Antique Emporium (three floors). We would like to go back again in the summer and when we do, we will definitely time it around availability at Paul's. Thank you Paul, we look forward to our next visit!
Great place to stay!
The home had everything my friends and I needed for a relaxing and fun getaway from the Twin Cities. We really enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace, and peaceful surroundings. The owner was also very professional, helpful and quick to answer any questions. We'd definitely stay again in the future.

Week long stay in Eau Claire
We needed a place for 5 kids and 3 adults and this was perfect. The house was near where we needed to be all week and convenient to various restaurants.
My only caution to renters is the stairs are steep- it’s an A frame after all!
Great stay. Perfect for our needs.
Above and beyond!
We came to town unexpectedly for a funeral and this was the only house available over Christmas with two bathrooms. All I can say is God truly works in mysterious ways as this lovely home had everything we needed...even a Christmas tree! It was wonderful to have a place for our family to gather at such a difficult time. We loved watching the squirrels play...especially the white ones. Paul was a gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed. Parking for six cars. Hot tub. Best pillows ever. Stay here if you get a chance.
