Large spacious 161 sqm penthouse with sea views to south, east & west

Located in the centre of Praia da Luz, with panoramic views to the stunning sandy beaches, which are just a short walk away, is our very spacious 3 bedroomed apartment, The apartment is accessed via an elevator which is key operated to the 5th floor only, giving it total privacy. On entering you come to a light filled large lounge overlooking Praia da Luz. Its patio doors give access to a south facing sun terrace, which curves around the south and west side serving two further bedrooms.

It has 2 double en-suite bedrooms, and 1 twin bedroom, all with superb views, built in wardrobes, and access to terraces providing sleeping accommodation for 6.

A large kitchen fully equipped with doors and sea views to the east. Overlooking the beaches and infamous black rock. Dining for 6 on this terrace.

Holiday packages can be arranged which can include :

Transportation, Airport transfer and rent a cars.

Accommodation - with maid service, Air conditioning/ Heating and welcome food hampers.

Activities - Golf, Tennis, Guided Walks, Bike rides, Spa, etc etc.

I booked this apartment based on excellent value for money. I was not disappointed.

I can't imagine there being a better located apartment in Luz from a practicality point of view. I did have problems with the bedroom shutters. One made a lot of noise rattling on windy nights while another we couldn't get to work at all. That said it wasn't enough of a problem to want to bother the management company. Otherwise everything was very good and the apartment very well equipped. I am planning cn making a booking to stay for a much longer period next year.

Great apartment in perfect location

We stayed Robert's apartment for two weeks and had a great time in Luz and the nearby towns. There were 3 couples in our group so we appreciated the three bathrooms and the spacious living room, and the big kitchen was great when we had a dinner for nine one evening. We found the best feature to be the two huge balconies that wrap around practically the whole apartment. There was always a sunny spot and always a shady spot to sit in. The apartment is clean and well maintained but the downstairs lobby could use freshening up; not a problem for us though. The check-in assistance from Kristie was great and we quickly found the two great stores she pointed out nearby. Maybe they were too near - we bought great fresh food almost hourly some days...

The apt location is great too. We didn't use our car for days on end because the beach was a short stroll away and so are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. There is lots of free parking around the building and in a car park 100yds away.

Robert was a pleasure to work with when booking. He was unfailingly helpful with my long list of questions!

We would go back for sure.

Perfect Penthouse Apartment

I couldn't recommend this apartment more having spent a fabulous 5 days there this May. The apartment is very stylish and spacious with nearly 360 degree views over the beach and beautiful coastline. Its location is very convenient as it is right in the centre of town with the beachfront, a number of nice restaurants and two supermarkets less than a few minutes walk away.The flat is done up to a very high quality with each bedroom benefiting from its own bathroom and the kitchen has everything you need...though we mainly ate out. We really enjoyed using the comfortable sun loungers and sitting out on the two different rooftop seating areas and will definitely plan on visiting again. Robert was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to all my questions - thank you!

Home away from home!

This was our second long stay at this apartment in the lovely village of Praia da Luz. It is exactly as described, the highlight being the fully equipped modern kitchen. The terraces offer amazing views east, south, and west. Robert and Fenella were readily available responding quickly to questions. We would highly recommend this apartment to friends and family (and have done). Excellent markets, shops, and restaurants within short walking distance. Good walks to neighbouring villages. Good bus service to Lagos and beyond.

Our portuguese epic fail

From the very first contact with property manager we made it quite clear -we will be coming with severe disabled teenager for beach(swimming) holiday.I can not really blame Fenella on freezing ocean water((it hardly reached 18 degrees in the first week of September) though the temperature didnt matter much-water was notable dirty as they had up to 22 engine boats moored in front of the beach line-business comes first) but Praia da Luz town itself appeared totally inaccessible for wheelchair.We couldnt reach the point of having accessible apartment in town consisting of cobbled stone slopes with very narrow sidewalks without any ramps.We were lucky to bring third wheel(FreeWheel for offroad experience)for wheelchair-without it our short holiday would have started and ended within same apartment.

Now about property. Apartment block is very big and old.Actually, it is very old.Main entrance welcomes you with bad smell.Two elevators are customized to limited holes-beware electrical wheelchairs users.Penthouse is reached with key for elevator's button,though there is stairs till penthouse level too.Stairs and penthouse are divided by locked door. People renting downstairs get up to penthouse level to peek around.Apartments has lots of doors, all of them are very basic with basic locks.One of terraces leads to huge empty nobody's terrace which leads down to another's apartment terrace.

Amazing views are good advantage because with North wind all apartment is filled with horrible smell from sewage and you may want to escape outside.All bathrooms have electrical ventilators installed, none helps.Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms,bad smell flows freely all round.

We stayed 10 days out of 29 booked,didnt leave earlier because of elevated price of flights.

1 star is given because of very well equipped kitchen and 3 fab supermarkets nearby. Fresh meat,fish,vegs and fruits were delicious.

Overall not recommended to wheelchair users due to inaccessible town.Not recommended to anyone else due to poisoning sewage smell during wind from the north.

Owner's Response: Reply to review 11142590 Our wonderful Penthouse We can only be responsible for the penthouse, but would like to point out that Praia da Luz is renowned for being a safe, friendly, family resort with many disabled facilities. Disabled of all ages have wonderful holidays here. The beach is very beautiful and safe to swim in. With any sport activities being restricted to only one area. The apartment has been our home for over 10 years. It is an older style block but has been fully renovated to a high standard including a bedroom with an en suite wet room built with wheelchair users in mind. We are always happy to to discuss a clients particular needs. With them before booking. This client complained to our management company regarding smells but on investigating the complaint the management company could find no evidence And apart from this one client there have been no other complaints. The apartment is extremely private and secure with an alarm system in place. The Algarve is a wonderful place with a fabulous coastline, people and weather. Regards Robert

Perfect appartment

We stayed at this lovely appartment for 10 days. It is exactly as shown in the pictures and even better. The kitchen is full equipped so that we could cook there every night. There are two huge terraces which chairs and tables where you can enjoy the sun while having breakfast and a lovely view over the sea!

As it counts with three bedrooms and three bedrooms, there is enough privacy if your travelling with more people.

Besides the perfect appartment, the organization and contact with Robert (the owner) was very uncomlicated and sympathic.

We truely recommend this appartment for everyone who wants to enjoy their holidays without any inconveniences!

Praia da Luz is a small family friendly village with fabulous beaches and facilities.
