The accommodation at Quinta Almara consists of the main villa (built on one level), an attached two bedroom apartment and a separate three bedroom Pool Annexe . This gives our guests excellent scope for flexibility in their holiday requirements should teenagers, grandparents, nannies or other staff need separate sleeping arrangements. The maximum occupancy is 16 guests.
There is a lounge with wood burning fire and separate dining room with French doors to the shaded dining terrace with views over the swimming pool and to the ocean beyond
The kitchen and breakfast room with fridge/freezer, industrial style oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, separate smaller oven and hob and additional drinks fridge.

Large bedroom with 4 single beds and a bathroom (ideal for children and teenagers)
This is part of the main building, formerly staff quarters and refurbished with internal and external access.

Please note: there is no internal access from villa.
The pool terrace has superb views and is excellent for sunbathing. Additionally there is a poolside bar with fridge, a kitchenette and shower with wc. A small snooker table, a dartboard and a table tennis table.
There is a pool heater which can be requested (additional cost).
The upper terrace is great for dining and there is a shaded BBQ area.
The villa is surrounded by magnificent landscaped gardens and has terracing on a number of levels.
Private tennis court recently re-laid (equipment is not provided), which can be floodlit .
Quinta Almara is located in Calicas, a region east of Lagos, part of the western Algarve, Portugal. The property is spacious and set in extensive private and mature gardens with many fig, almond, orange and lemon trees, plus a small vineyard.
The views to the Atlantic and over Lagos itself are breathtaking, giving an almost 180 degree vista.
Although this property has the benefit of feeling as though in a rural setting, the beautiful long, sandy beach of Meia Praia and the bustle of Lagos Marina are an approximate 15 minute walk, or less than a 5 minute drive away.
The Marina is lively during the day with a choice of lovely cafes, bars & restaurants where you can either just have a quick coffee & cake or choose to eat any meal from breakfast to dinner. There are plenty of options and something for everyone.
From here, you can enjoy outdoor activities like sailing, boat trips to explore the coast, visit the unique caves in cruising boats or even kayaking and experience the sea life eg: dolphins at sea.
Later on in the afternoon and evenings, the bars and restaurants become a most enjoyable place to enjoy an evening meal and you can finish the night in a friendly bar with lots of local options to choose from.
Or you can cross the footbridge and in a 5 minute pleasant walk enjoy the busy town of Lagos, with its small cobbled streets, local fruit market, fish market, the churches, monuments and local museums, interesting shops, bars and restaurants where both adults and children can make holiday memories that can last a lifetime. Lagos has lots to offer; whether you want a town steeped in history and culture, or a town teeming with restaurants, shops and night-life, then Lagos has something for you.
The clean, wide, long beach of Meia Praia is just a 10 minute saunter away from the townhouse and because of it's size, you can always find somewhere to put your beach towels. There are many great beach bars to choose from, whether just for a drink or ice cream to cool off, or to have some food and get out of the sun for a while.
For those wanting to play golf, there are several championship golf courses nearby including Boavista Golf Club and Spa, Espiche and Palmares Onyra Golf Club. It is possible to hire a quality set of clubs at Faro airport from ClubstoHire.com. For the more adventurous there are many water sports widely available including water skiing, surfing and wake boarding or you could go trekking, horse riding or micro-light flying.

Check in after 3pm on day of arrival and leave by 10am on day of departure.
We regret we are unable to accept all male or all female party bookings.
Pool heating if required is an additional £30 per day as is pre-heating before arrival .

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking, the balance payment due 6 weeks prior to arrival
