Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in La Cala de Mijas - 3 Bed house 50m from the beach

3 beds, 2 bathrooms, sea views, 2 minute walk to amenaties but quiet location

This beautiful house, which is only 50m from a wide sandy beach , has 1 double bedroom ( with en-suite bath/shower room) and 2 twin bedrooms with a family shower room. A travel cot and strap on high chair are both available at no extra cost. It is set in beautiful gardens with 2 communal swimming pools. There are sea views from the main bedroom balcony and from the roof terrace. Both of the twin bedrooms also have small balconies. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. There is a large lounge /dining room downstairs, which is air conditioned, and also has an open fire. There is a TV with satellite access to UK standard channels ( not SKY) , also a DVD player, and a PS2 is available with games. Wifi is available at a pay as you go rate ( paid direct to the supplier) Board games are provided for both children and adults. The kitchen is well equipped, with a fan oven and induction hob, as well as a fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a tumble dryer on the top floor of the house .There is an enclosed patio to the rear of the kitchen, which is furnished with a table and chairs . A further patio is to the front of the house, with open views of the well maintained gardens - there is a large roller sunblind, a table and 6 chairs for lazy lunches , curling up with a book, or basking in the sunshine . The roof terrace is furnished with a table, chairs and sun loungers - a real sun trap!- there are lovely mountain views to the rear and the sea to the front.

The Mijas Playa Club complex is situated at the East end of la Cala de Mias - it is beach front, apart from a small service road. A 2 minute walk takes you to the main street where you will find bars, restaurants, hairdressers, 2 supermarkets ( a Sol and a Mercardona) banks, internet cafe's and a pharmacy. There is also a bus stop and a taxi rank, plus a car hire firm.

At the West end of La Cala ( and a 5 minute walk from the house) there is a large children's playground, with a café. Exercise equipment is available at 3 sites along the beach. The square by the beach front watch tower is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by, or enjoy a meal or an ice cream in the evening - in high season a craft market is held along the beach front promenade.

Year round there is a market held on Saturdays and Wednesdays at the back of the village.

I live and work in the UK, and have 3 children , the youngest was 2 years old when the house was bought, and it has proved a great place to be with small children as well as teenagers ( a relatively safe environment for them to be able to go out on their own, but still be close) ...nowadays we can enjoy it on adult only breaks too.

The house is a comfortable , family home. I work hard to try to provide extra little bits and pieces that make your holiday run smoothly. I welcome families with young children ( which some properties do not) as well as many adult only groups.

It's spacious, comfortable, peaceful - yet you can walk out for an evening of tapas, or a curry, or a beachside fish supper...La Cala is friendly, Spanish people both live and holiday here.......what's not to like??

What makes this house unique

La Cala is not a purpose built resort. It's a village where people live, and work. It's lively without being riotous, peaceful without being dull. It's well connected by buses to the rest of the coast - and last year, the coastal promenade was opened...so now you can walk from Estepona in one direction, and Nerja in the other!!

Excellent villa in a wonderful location

Having stayed in the Mijas Playa Club villas (albeit not this one) on various holidays during my childhood, I perhaps had a romantisised idea of the accommodation when booking a week away for our wedding in October 2015. But this villa more than lived up to, and maybe even surpassed, my childhood memories.

First impressions are crucial, and upon entering the villa, we were struck by its homeliness and cleanliness. The decor is smart, the facilities well-maintained and comfortable. The space is utilised well to make the most of the available room. Travelling with a 15-month-old, everything - travel cot, high chair - was in place and easy to use. The beds were comfortable and the array of towels, linen etc helps to make it a home from home.

If you don't know La Cala de Mijas, it is a wonderful location, and this villa is extremely close to the beach without being right on the road, so you get the best of both worlds. The two shared pools are well maintained, and the choice of bars and restaurants within walking distance is excellent.

I cannot recommend this property highly enough - and Jacqueline, the owner, made the booking process completely stress-free. The listing description is very accurate and this is a holiday home we will no doubt be returning to in the not-too-distant future.

The perfect home near a perfect beach.

This property is perfect for a week or two week holiday. Every facility is catered for, if you want go self catering or eat out this home allows you to choose for yourself. The bedding being changed on a weekly basis, which was a nice touch. My family had a beautiful holiday in a beautiful fishing village. If you want a child friendly/ safe village then la Cala is a charming choice, from beach bars to restaurants to tapas bars to authentic Spanish restaurants you won't be disappointed. The addition of the new boardwalk allows easy access to further beaches and makes for a leisurely running track. You won't be disappointed if you decide to book this lovely townhouse. Dealing with the owner Jacqueline couldn't have been easier, everything we asked for or enquired about was dealt with speedily and professionally, thank you Jacqueline.

Perfekt bolig for voksne og barn

Min kone og jeg dro vi til Cala de Mijas 30.6.15 sammen med vår datter, hennes ektemann og deres 2 år gamle datter, samt vår yngste sønn og hans kvinnelige samboer. Min datter hadde vært der før, og hun var full av lovord om stedet og ferieboligene i Mijas Playa Club. Vi trodde vi var tidlige ute med å søke på feriebolig, men det ble fort fullt på de beste stedene. Så kom vi i kontakt med huseier av 26 Mijas Playa Club. Til tross for at vi søkte om å få leie utenom vanlig utleieperiode (lørdag - lørdag), fikk vi leid hennes leilighet fra tirsdag 30.6.15 - tirsdag 7.7.15. 26 Mijas Playa Club viste seg å være en perfekt bolig for vår familie. Huset hadde alle fasiliteter, og det var rent og velholdt. Tre soverom i 2.etg, og vi hadde med egen reiseseng til vårt barnebarn. Flott ute plass både i front og bak huset, og det var hagemøbler tilgjengelig for flere enn det vi var. Vi hadde besøk av familie på 3 som leide litt bortenfor oss, og vi hadde god plass på verandaen. Standarden på huset var meget høyt, og vi kan ikke finne noe negativt å si. Avstanden til stranda var kun 50 meter borte, og det var meget behagelig når en har med seg små barn. Vi spiste alle lunsjene på verandaen i huset, og det var deilig å kunne sitte rolig av avslappende vekk fra stranda under måltidene. Vi leide to biler hos Malaga Car, som vi også vil anbefale. Vi dro til Puerto Bunes, Bioparck i Fiengurola, og en avsluttende middag ved appelsinlunden den gamle delen av Marbella. Avslutningsvis vil vi takke husier for hennes vennlighet i forbindelse med leie av hennes bolig. Hun har vært utrolig imøtekommende, og takket være hennes velvillighet og service, gjorde hun vår ferie til en fantastisk uke. Vi har ingen problemer med å anbefale alle våre venner, eller andre å leie hennes feriebolig. Tusen takk for en herlig ferieuke. Tommy Moen Fredrikstad, Norge.

So much to do on the Costa del Sol - Granada, Ronda, Cadiz and Gibraltar all within reach for day trips...even Morocco for the day if you wish. Quad biking in the hills, riding, dolphin and whale watching trips, a crocodile farm, Fuengirola Zoo, a lovely marine park with dolphin show in Benalmadena. Big boats, fast cars and designer shopping in Puerto Banus. And the berach, and chilling at home.
