Beautiful Savoyard Farmhouse Located Minutes From The 3 Valleys Ski Area

Recently renovated farmhouse and barn. This farmhouse is situated in a traditional Savoyard hamlet just minutes from the three Valleys ski area and has been renovated with great care and attention to a very high standard.

Originally a large three storey farm building with a small house attached to the front, the building had a stable at the lowest level, a barn at the mid-level and a hayloft at the top. It has been converted into a spacious and comfortable family home with five bedrooms (all en-suite), a large living and dining area with wood burning stove and a modern kitchen with separate utility room. All rooms have underfloor heating. There is also a large mezzanine area with a small selection of pilates equipment.

The house is accessed at ground level, leading into an impressive vaulted entrance and ski kit storage area with wooden bench seats which lift up to reveal boot storage. The underfloor heating extends under the benches to provide boot drying. The backs of the benches fold down for storage of gloves, hats etc. On this level there are two twin bedrooms, each with en-suite shower, washbasin and WC.

A wide spiral staircase gives access to……..

The mid-level, which is a large open plan living and dining area, kitchen, utility room and guest WC. Full height sliding glass doors and a south-facing balcony run along the length of this floor overlooking the decked garden and the wildflower meadow which slopes down from the parking area.

The living and dining space is arranged as an area for relaxing with four settees and three ottomans round a low level “barn door” table and facing the wood burning stove. An “entertainment wall” at one end of this area has a large flat-screen TV, a Freesat satellite receiver and a blu ray player with “home cinema” speakers. There is also an Ipod dock and Internet Radio. The other end of this room has a large French walnut table comfortably seating eight to ten but which, with the addition of extra leaves can seat twelve plus.

The modern kitchen has an island unit housing a large French range cooker and deep-drawer utensil storage all under granite worktops which also provide a small breakfast bar. Along the wall there is a run of kitchen units with a sink, a Bosch dishwasher and a Samsung American fridge freezer with ice and filtered water dispensers. Off the kitchen is a separate utility room with storage cupboards, double sink, Miele washer dryer and microwave.

From the living and dining space the spiral staircase continues up to give access to ………

A large mezzanine gallery overlooking the dining area which is currently used as an exercise area. On this level there are three bedrooms. Two twin bedrooms each with its own WC, washbasin and shower and a large master bedroom with bath, shower, washbasin and WC. All of these bedrooms have exposed beams and large triangular “barn” windows.

On the balcony there is a small table and two chairs - (extra chairs in the entrance hall) from where guests can enjoy the view south over the village .

The garden, which is planted as a wild flower meadow, slopes down from the private parking area to a large decked area with an outside table and chairs (stored in the entrance hall).

There is private parking for 3 large or 4 small cars plus public parking in the village.

Bed linen and towels are provided and beds are made up for your arrival.

Catering Options

We have 2 catering partners.

1. Through Chalet Kitchen we can arrange daily delivery of breakfast and delicious pre-prepared evening meals for you to re-heat on your return from skiing.

2. Through HD Ski & Management we can arrange one of two options:

1. Daily delivery of delicious pre-prepared evening meals for you to re-heat on your return from skiing. This daily delivery can also include breakfast.

2. A private chef who will come to the house and will prepare and serve high end restaurant level dining to you (and clear up afterwards).

Superb property

This is a fantastic property just a few minutes drive from St Martin de Belleville. The house has a very well equipped kitchen and facilities throughout. The bedrooms and bathrooms are excellent, the living room spacious with ample comfortable seating and wood-burning stove. The owners have thought of everything and I could not fault anything. The only thing to be aware of is the access road to the hamlet which can become snow covered and difficult to drive up in the winter - just remember your winter tyres and snow chains.

Very nice and comfortable place !

We were 8 (4 adults and 4 children) and we spent a very nice week in the chalet wich is located in a tiny and charming savoyard village, a few km from Saint-Martin de Belleville. Kids appreciated to build igloos and to go sledging in the small and quiet little streets near the house. The chalet itself is really beautiful, with all the necessary things you may need.

Contacts with the owners were furthermore very friendly.

We definitely recommend this property (if you accept to drive 5 mn to go skiing) !

The main room was so big and comfy as well. The pictures don't show the beautiful it was...

Every bed room has its own bathroom...

This luxury chalet is located in the beautiful 'Three Valley's' Ski area, the biggest connected ski area in the world with over 600 km of pisted runs and a vast area of off-piste. The house sits at an altitude of 1080m.

Fantastic skiing and snow boarding in Winter and spectacular walking, mountain biking and nature holidays in summer.

Nestled in the small hamlet of La Combe, five minutes from St Martin de Belleville. St Martin is a charming Alpine village with many facilities.

In the winter, you can enjoy superb skiing and snowboarding in the biggest skiing area in the world. Gondolas connect the three valleys.

St Martin boasts an excellent ski school with 20 permanent instructors, with experience in high mountain, skiing, snowboarding, powder and moguls.

For the non-skiers or when you fancy a day off you can take a walk on snowshoes or cross country skis or hire a dog sleigh.

In the school holidays you can take part in a torchlight visit of the village and there are several musical events during the season.

St Martin de Belleville is an all round holiday destination with many activities to get involved with during the summer as well as the winter season. For example, if you like walking - Saint Martin, Les Menuires and Val Thorens offers a selection of over 50 marked pedestrian paths, which cover over 250km.

For mountain bike enthusiasts - you can enjoy 21 ATB trails, which cover over 120km of stunning scenery.

Or you can go mountaineering, hiking or climbing - with an experienced high/middle mountain guide, who organise a series of activities for all levels, from day long mountain hikes, ice and rock climbing and over night stays in an alpine mountain refuge.

Children can get involved in Children's Mountain Club - organised by the 'Bureau des Guides' for 6 to 13 years olds, which aims to educate them about all aspects of mountain life.

Les Menuires Sports Centre - a fantastic large complex, which boasts swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna well being centre, squash court, weight rooms, dancing and gymnastics.

Places of interest - Annecy - (about 1hour 30 mins) the old town is traversed by canals, there are mini-cruises on the lakes.

Chamonix - Mont Blanc - (about 2 hours) take the Montenvers train (Mer de Glace) the Aiguille du Midi, and Brevent cable cars , or by the Mont Blanc tramway.

Albertville et Conflans Winter Olympics Museum, medieval city of Conflans, and it's ethnographic and Historical Museum, the Abbey and fort de Tamie, the Roman church in Clery, small museum of the Combe de Savoie, and the Fortress de Miolans.
