Mountain Bliss

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful stop and highly recommended. One of the best views on the mountain, comfortable rooms, warm cozy good heating, great fireplace. Had multi-generational family group visit and all loved it. Didn't cook much but had all we needed. Good coffee, dishes and all you need. Really feels like a private family home. Beth was a great contact and answered all our questions and accommodated early arrival, etc. Great place. Will be back.

When back luck happens...

  • 5 of 5

Not soon after arriving at this house for a New Year's Eve getaway with some friends, we found that the propane tank of the house had been almost entirely depleted of fuel. This wouldn't have been a massive problem, but the forecast called for sub-freezing weather over the course of the weekend.

Not only was Beth responsive to our call, she went much further in her efforts to rectify the situation. She got into touch with the propane company, and they came out the next morning to refill the tank. Although we had to spend one night in the cold, she made up for this by refunding our entire trip. We were completely stunned by her responsiveness, generosity, and her accommodating nature.

We'd recommend it to families and groups alike. When she says 'dramatic mountain view,' be assured that it's the truth. This is a special spot, and with Beth's help, we went from a botched holiday to a most memorable New Year's trip. We couldn't recommend this place more, and it's got a great hostess to boot!

Perfect Mountain Home with Spectacular View

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommend this lovely home! We had a corporate retreat and this home had ample space and an amazing great room. The decks were large enough for everyone to enjoy the amazing mountain views. This would also be perfect for four couples or large family. The owners were extremely helpful and easy to work with. We enjoyed the nature trails, bluff views, and nearby restaurants. We was stocked with pretty much anything you will need including extra toilet paper! We will definitely be back! Thanks Beth for an amazing weekend!

Terrific house with stunning view near University of the South!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this house many times. It is high quality, newer construction and convenient. Not only does it have great amenities - like porch with view, big fireplace and built in stereo - it is on wooded lot - but 5 minutes from Sewanee. It is well outfitted and comfortable. The house has a huge open room that is great for a group. It is a close walk to the pool and tennis courts. We love this place!

Ideal retreat

  • 5 of 5

The home is beautiful and comfortable, and is ideally placed to take full advantage of the georgeous surroundings. Among its best features are the spacious, functional kitchen and the enormous porch with relaxing furniture and a breathtaking view. It is the perfect place for a weekend (or longer!) retreat.

About The Owner

We live in Nashville, 1.5 hours from the property. We bought the house, which was built in 2001, in 2005. We fell in love with the view and my husband attended the University of the South.

The Owner purchased this house in 2005

Why The Owner chose Clifftops

The view takes your breath away and it stunning every season and time of day - even when it rains and the clouds roll through. We are secluded on 6 wooded acres, but a 5 minute walk to the pool and tennis courts at Clifftops - which is like a natural park. Also, we are just 5 miles from the University of the South. The house is new and comfortable - it was designed for family gatherings with big porch, fireplace and open kitchen.

What makes this house unique

The house has four bedrooms, 3 which face the mountain. It has 2.5 baths - stereo system with built in speakers and two televisions. It is surrounded by the woods - has many walking trails in Clifftops, the community. Plus, there is a lake, pool, swing set, basketball and tennis in the community, which is gated.
