Upon your arrival, as you pass the adjacent forest, you are immediately greeted by the stone tower, which holds the petite library, and the breakfast terrace where you can enjoy your croissants and coffee in the morning.
Entering through the double doors, you find yourself in the enormous main living area where you can relax in the cool during summer or warm yourself in front of the cosy fireplace in winter. From here you can make your way to the huge rear terrace, elevated over the valley below. This is a beautiful place to dine externally or just relax and take in the superb views and tranquility of the area.
The chefs kitchen boasts stone work tops and modern appliances and features a large island bench where there’s room for everyone to be involved in preparing meals. Here you can cook up your selection of local products and use the fresh organic herbs and vegetables from the garden.
All four bedrooms are very generous in size and most have fully equipped ensuite bathrooms. Fitted with either king or super king size beds, each has its own unique flavour guaranteeing a relaxed and restful nights sleep.
The property boasts its own small wood which extends down the hillside where it is possible to while away your time in quiet contemplation, watching the birds and squirrels, and perhaps enjoying a glass or two of the local wine, which is known the world over. The property also features Free WiFi, for your convenience.
The front garden and lawn extends out to the pool area with its sun lounges, glistening water and barbecue facilities. This is where you can wind down in the summer months, cook up for friends, or take a refreshing dip and make the most of up to 300 days of sunshine each year.
Nearby Lauzerte is a medieval bastide village and one of the 'plus beaux villages' of France (the most beautiful villages in France). In its historic centre you will find restaurants, cafes, bars, a twice weekly market, as well as essentials like doctors, pharmacy, bakery and a modern supermarket. Lauzerte is an official stopping point on the route of Saint Jacques of Compostella and is buzzing with activity, particularly during summer. Join the happy throngs at the weekly summer marche gourmande (evening food market), local brocantes (antique markets), festivals and celebrations. The tourist information office in Lauzerte can guide you on a host of other local attractions and events.
The area offers numerous recreational activities ranging from walking or cycling in the leafy countryside to the thrill of hot air ballooning or joy flights over the magnificent valleys. For those with a gastronomic bent, the area is home to renowned wines, foie gras, the world’s best prunes, apples and other locally grown produce.
