Fantastic getaway!

Fantastic location close to country clubhouse just 5 min walk past Lochan. House was very nice and comfortable and well kept.

Nice walk about 15 minutes into town past strathspey steam railway with many really nice restaurants.

Mountain views all-round would highly recommend and will be back.

Great Location in Aviemore

The property was large and comfortable with good parking in the driveway. We enjoyed the bathtub after hours of hiking.

Be aware towels are not included and this includes tea/dish towels and oven hot mitts. We pulled bandanas out of our luggage to take a pizza out of the oven. We had put it in the oven without realizing there were no hot mitts to take it out! We have stayed in many Homeaway properties and this is the only one with out a means of handling hot items in the kitchen.

Good house, good location

Well eqipped house, only problem was the shower. Not really a shower more a trickle!!! Other than that the house had everything we needed and wanted. Would use again and recommend. Easy walking distance to amenities.

Great location, but very tired and worn.

The house is in a excellent location with local shops and amenities very close by but enjoying a quite position, Aviemore centre is no more than a 10/15 minute walk away.

The property itself though has long reached the stage of requiring a refurb and complete redecoration.

The shower is so poor that it is rendered practically useless though the was always plenty of hot water for a bath.

Downstairs was very sparse looking and a few rugs on the wooden floors wouldn't have gone amiss in adding some warmth. The very old electric fire would also have been improved if it had some working light bulbs in it. New comfortable 3 piece suit would also be good instead of the very ugly 1980's blue leather/PVC one that is currently there.

In the kitchen we're back again to the situation of a bit of upgrading needed. The cupboard doors could certainly do with having soft close hinges fitted and the biggest problem of all was the hob, a electric solid plate type, extremely dangerous for young families as they retain their heat for a very long time, but they are also absolutely useless for cooking on as the is no control with them, I use my 25+ years working as a chef to back that point up. A dishwasher would also be a useful addition, the would be plenty of room for it if the washing machine was moved into the garage, a dishwasher would also prove far more useful than a washing machine, a tumble dryer would also be useful for the winter.

Overall we had a great few days away and were very lucky in getting a good amount of snow but as the property stands at the moment we would not go back to it.

Fantastic holiday

We had a fantastic holiday! The house was just great, plenty space for all of us, a nice wee garden. All the essentials you'd need in a home away from home! Good location, 15 min walk from everything which was great for us as we don't have a car. Will definitely be back. Great value for money.
