About the property

Charming Old Florida Cottage Just a Few Blocks From Gulfport Beach

Welcome to the old Florida lifestyle. Marigold is a charming 1920's Gulfport cottage, one of the first in the area. A classic southern front porch greets you, a great place to relax, hear the palm trees sway and watch the sun set. Inside you'll find a comfortable living and dining area, newly renovated kitchen, spacious master bedroom, and a second single bedroom. One of the living room sofas pulls out into a single bed for overnight visitors. Out back there's a lush fully fenced pet friendly backyard with two patios.

You'll find everything within walking distance including a variety of excellent shops & restaurants, a beautiful beach, dog park, tennis courts, and a nature reserve. Choose to just relax at the cottage, or use it as a base for your Florida adventures. The spectacular Gulf Coast beaches are a 5-minute drive away, downtown St. Petersburg is about 15 minutes, and Orlando with all its attractions is an easy 90-minute drive.

Adorable little cottage painted in cheerful colors.

Brand new kitchen, fenced-in yard for kids or pets and easy walk to downtown Gulfport. TV but no cable...so no HGTV!

Great cottage

  • 4 of 5

The house was perfect for my dog and I. Both the front and back yard are fenced. The bed was amazing! I will be purchasing a memory foam mattress shortly :) The only flaw is the lack of cable TV. Yes there is Netflix, but only one local station comes over the HD antenna. In a way, it was nice to take a break from the TV during vacation. But I did miss the ability to watch sports.

Owner's Response: We're so glad to hear you enjoyed Marigold Cottage. Happy you found the bed so comfy! Thanks for the lovely review. Sorry to hear you were only able to get one local channel during your stay. The digital antenna usually picks up around twenty channels. Thanks for letting us know. We'll make sure the antenna is properly adjusted.

Charming and cozy and in awesome location in doggie paradise

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the cottage for a month and loved every minute of it. The place is small but plenty of room for myself and my dog. The place is tastefully furnished and beautifully landscaped in front and back. There is a good sized fenced in backyard and the front porch area is also fenced in, so my dog could join me on the shady front porch. I didn't watch much TV, but there is a small smart tv in the living room that gets basic channels and Netflix, Hulu and streaming programs. The best part is the location. Walking distance to all the activities and charm Gulfport has to offer and a short drive to downtown St Pete the beaches on the barrier islands. There is a dog park two blocks away and the restaurants, bars, shops, galleries and beaches of Gulfport are an easy walk too. Lots of great bars and restaurants in the area and most have dog friendly areas, so my dog was in heaven being able to join me so often when I went out. Really enjoyed my stay and was sad to leave.
