Schnapplhof Farm is located at a healthy elevation of 1100 metres, 2.5 km from the centre of Kirchberg. This large, detached country house on the Sonnberg is situated in one of the loveliest spots in Kirchberg, with a breathtaking view. You will have the lower level, the ground floor and the first floor all to yourself. That is, the entire chalet is at your disposal. This fantastic accommodation has a total of 350 m2 of living space spread across four levels with no fewer than eleven bedrooms and nine bathrooms in total! On the ground floor you will find an original Austrian living room and a very luxurious open-plan kitchen with every possible amenity built in. On the top floor you will find a second living room with a breathtaking view of the encircling mountains. You also have a wonderful relaxation room at your disposal, which includes a sauna. A spacious garden surrounds the house, offering a variety of places to sit.

The chalet was in a great location, out in the countryside with amazing views, but still only a five minute drive from Kirchberg in Tirol. The damage deposit was larger than I'd like but has been returned promptly and without fuss. The rooms were mostly spacious and with lots of storage - with the sole exception of the two connecting rooms for two on the first floor - although we managed even with four women in that room. The kitchens were also both spacious which made it easy to prepare joint meals for the whole group. There was also enough fridge space for everything. The drying room for skis also worked well to dry all our walking stuff - even on wet days which was great. The views were also amazing, albeit weather dependent.
There were however a few niggles
* Firstly there were no blinds in the rooms on the second floor, which forced us to improvise blinds with some spare duvet covers. Without this when the sun got up at 5am people in those rooms would have been forced to get up. I accept that this would be less of a problem in the winter - but in early March sunrise would be before 7am. The curtains in the other rooms weren't too bad, but they are probably thinner than those in my living room and certainly thinner than those in my own bedroom - although on the first floor there were also shutters which made the room very dark.
* Secondly while the house was described as having a utility room it had no washing machine or tumble dryer. We did get access to the communal one for washing the sheets etc, but only on one evening, this meant that some people didn't have enough clothes. Frankly I'd expect a house this big to come with proper washing facilities.
* Thirdly there were a lot of flies around as we were near a stables and none of the windows and doors had fly screens - meaning the house was full of flies when we arrived. I'm sure this wouldn't be an issue in the winter, but summer visitors should be accounted for too.
* Fourthly the WiFi only worked in the downstairs rooms and not the whole house - and sadly there seemed to be no interest in fixing this.
Trotz Regen war es ein schöner Urlaub. Gestört haben lediglich die vielen Fliegen.
Appartement geschikt voor grote groepen c.q. gezinnen
Met groep vrienden een weekje skien in Kirchberg. Heerlijke week gehad. Op weg naar huis nog even spannend of we zonder kettingen omhoog kwamen! Het huis ligt hoger dan we dachten. Tijdens ons verblijf werden er lammetjes geboren. Erg leuk.
Werkelijk een prachtig ruime woning gelegen op een bergheling met zicht op Kirchberg in Tirol. De woning heeft alles te bieden met een prachtige tweede verdieping waar onze kinderen (4 van 13j en 5 van 15j) het rijk alleen hadden. Veel ruimte in en om de woning. Mooie eetkamer waar we met 19 personen zeer ruim hebben kunnen zitten. Tevens een heerlijke saunaruimte om na een intensieve dag skieën heerlijk bij te komen.
