Set in a glorious hilltop location, not overlooked, with beautiful views over the sea this traditional countryside private villa still retains the rural character that was typical of a family home just a handful of decades ago. The villa has been restored and improved over time but still retains a cozy customary atmosphere.

Once a family farmhouse, now an inviting accommodation for a large family or a big group of friends. It is spacious inside and outside, well decorated with many historic bits and pieces. Fit with 21st century amenities such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning and cable TV to name a few, the comforts of this rustic villa go well beyond a few pieces of technology.

Outdoors, this villa boasts a huge swimming pool (heated on demand) of 14 x 6 meters enough to comfortably fit everyone inside at once. Enough sun loungers for everyone to enjoy the glorious Sunshine, which by the way hits the pool area all day long. A variety of rattan furniture will be inviting you to lie down by the pool or sit under the shade of the pergola, to read a good book or to keep an eye on the kids playing around the pool. The grass area is ideal for a football match, goal posts included. Also available outdoors is a table tennis table and table football. A children swing and slide are set under the shade of an ancient olive tree. Last but not least, a lovely charcoal BBQ area complete with table, chairs and of course, plenty of shade.

Indoors there are 6 bedrooms in total, 4 bedrooms on the ground floor (1 double, 2 twins and 1 single) and 2 bedrooms on the first floor (2 doubles with en suite bathrooms). All bedrooms are comfortable and uniquely decorated with their own charm and character. The upper bedrooms have air conditioning, downstairs the thick stonewalls and huge flagstone floors ensure the interior is cool even in the hottest months but there are a number of fans in the house should the need arise. The villa sleeps 11 in beds but there are up to 3 extra beds available at an additional cost of 100€ per week each.

• Changeover days are flexible. • Maid service is either 2, 3 or 5 times per week depending on the needs of the clients and size of the group. Linen is changed once per week and towels are changed twice a week. • Check-in at 4pm, check-out at 10am. These hours may be flexible depending on the previous and next bookings. • All utility bills are included in the rental price for short-term lets. Beautiful villa with great views

We have stayed at this beautiful property many times in the last twenty years - it is peaceful oasis in an increasingly busy upmarket area of the algarve. It is beautifully restored and furnished, tranquil and comfortable with fabulous views. The extensive grounds, huge sandpit and wooden Wendy house perfect for young children to run around in and our teenagers love the more recent additions of table tennis and pool. The maid is excellent, efficient and unobtrusive and the villa is spotless, which in my experience is not normally the case in properties that are not owner managed. The Portuguese owner Jenny speaks excellent English and is really helpful, with vast local knowledge.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this unique property.

This villa is close to some of the best beaches in the area, all the amenities of places such as Vilamoura, Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago – tennis, golf, horse riding, go karting, water park (Aquashow) and water sports. Restaurants/supermarkets and the local fish and vegetable markets are all easily accessible and for the more adventurous – bars and nightclubs are also located nearby.

Nearby Vale do Lobo means luxury with 2 championship golf courses, tennis centre, a variety of fine restaurants, bars, shops and stunning golden beaches. In this area entertaining children is never a problem, a wide variety of activities such as family fun mini golf, tennis centre, horse riding and many more. The location is optimal for driving to the main attractions of nearby resorts in no time while still being away from all the noise and agitation of the crowded places.
