One bedroom cabin is located at the Yarmouth Country Cabins in South Yarmouth. This cabin shares the 10 acres of land/woodlands is located in the heart of Cape Cod. So close to the Island Ferries we can hear the steamships horns blow. This property was developed in the 1950's and still has the nostalgic charm that it was blessed with. There are nature walking paths, badminton, ping pong, horseshoes, Bocci Ball, beach sand playground, campfire area, heated salt water outdoor pool, and salt water pond at the edge of the property. We are exactly one mile to the Town of Yarmouth's Parker's River Beach on South Shore Drive on the Nantucket Sound side of the cape. Our location is between 2 of Cape Cod's largest miniature golf attractions, Pirate's Cove and Bass River Sports World/Skull Island. Pirates' Cove is .5 mi and Skull Island/Bass River Sports World is .2 mi. Planet Fitness Gym is .3 mi from us. Restaurants, shopping, treats to eat..all within walking distance.
We are 25 minutes over the Sagamore Bridge and 45 minutes to Provincetown.
The cabin has wide pine floors, vaulted ceilings and a screened dining porch set on the edge of the woodlands. A beautiful country setting. Quiet and full of nature.
We have added a beautiful pergola w deck, flower garden, water fountain, additional outdoor fireplace and grilling area.
Awesome location and property. It is filled w nature, walking sand paths, 10 acres of land/woodlands, many things to walk to and enjoy. The property has owners that are there to help you with anything you may need during your cape cod visit.
We have been coming here for the last few years with two other families. You simply can't find a better value than staying here when visiting the Cape. It's centralized to just about anything you would want to do or see while on vacation. The cottages are various sizes to accommodate different size families. The cottage is always cleaned each week before you arrive and has just about everything you need to enjoy your stay. I always look forward to using the outdoor showers with the crisp morning air (there are indoor showers for those that require it). Nothing is more relaxing than sitting around the campfire in the evening with the kids making s'mores and meeting other families from different regions. We actually forget that we are on the Cape as there's a feeling of camping in the woods with the only noise coming from whatever we make (which we do admittedly make a lot).
Audrey and her family have always been very friendly and open. They are always quick to answer any problem or request you may have. They have always taken time out of their never ending and very busy days to talk with us. I think some people are too critical when reviewing these cabins. These are not meant to be like staying at the Radisson or another high-end hotel. People have to realize these cabins bring families a little closer together with nature as well as each other. They are not perfect. They are small and quaint - they are meant to be this way. Another way of thinking about it - these are a few steps above camping.
You are in the woods.
You are going to have to deal with bugs.
Wi-Fi does exist, but is not that great - but isn't being on vacation synonymous with unplugging from everyday life??
And yes - you will have to wash your own dishes.
Simply put - you will not find a better value for the money than staying here while on the Cape. So leave your high-end expectations at home and learn to relax and enjoy yourself and your family.
Stayed in one of their cabins with my family a few weeks ago. The cabins and property are misrepresented on their website. They look 1000% better online. When you get there you realize that they're all stuck really close together and are very small. More than that they are very dirty. My wife and I could not sleep using their pillow cases without putting our own towels over them. The couch/chair was extremely dirty. Obviously someone with a pet(s) had stayed there before us and the place wasn't cleaned properly (even though we were charged an overpriced "cleaning" fee). The dishwasher was also full of dirty dishes when we got there so one of the first things my wife had to do on our vacation was clean the dirty dishes. Any time we tried to ask Audrey the owner for anything we were given very short and curt answers as if she couldn't be bothered so we just stayed away from her. She seemed like a very unhappy person. Stay FAR away from this place. There are much better in this area.
Since we visited in the off-season, we didn't get to enjoy all of the amenities like the pool, but even so this was a great experience. The cabin we rented was like a tiny house with cooking facilities, two bedrooms and a separate living room, and very cute inside. With a playground on the grounds and a short hike through a beautiful wooded area out back to a "pond" that would pass for a lake back home, the setting is perfect for relaxing and hanging out with the family. Being right on 28 also made it easy to venture in either direction to go into Hyannis, Chatham, to the beach, etc. Management was friendly and flexible.
I would especially recommend the place to homeschoolers who are able to travel outside the heart of summer. We used the place as a home base to travel to Plimouth Plantation and the Mayflower II, Salem, Provincetown and other historical sites in the area and it was wonderful to "come home" to this place rather than a hotel room; we could cook our own meals, make a full pot of coffee in the morning, have room to spread out our finds from the day or work on projects, etc. And all for less than it would have cost to stay in a hotel. And, although we came alone, the number of other cabins on the property in varying sizes would make it a perfect place for a homeschooling group trip or extended family meeting up for a vacation.
The cottage was just lovely. Tastefully decorated, Clean, spacious for the cost. It has everything you could need. Closets, shower and tub, plenty of hot water, a full kitchen including toasted and microwave!! The screened in porch addition was just wonderful. you could sito ut on a warm night, catch a soft breeze with no mosquitos!!!! The owner/ hostess Audrey was available and accomodating, Debbie who does some grounds keeping was friendly and helpful. A wonderful time at a wonderful place. An unknown treasure on Cape Cod I hope to keep all to myself so I can book again!!! :) I highly recommend it, close to everything, restaurants, oceans, markets, golf, yet feels
like your 100 miles away with its quiet serene atmosphere.
actually we didnt stay in this cabin we stayed in a studio cabin which was really cute and big enough for me and my girlfriend.Audrey welcomed us when we got there any she had someone to gave us clean towels and all the employess in the place was so helpfull we really liked everything specially the bbq right outside the door.
we will recommend this place to everyone.
